The food was just average at best and on the pricey side for the location and atmosphere. The chicken didn’t have much flavor while the empanadas were decent. The food court/cafeteria setting just makes it hard to spend that much on food.

Andes Cafe was delicious and certainly made me feel as though I was in South America. The prices are a little high and with plentiful other options, if you’re willing to pay, this is a great spot for some South American flavors!

The gentleman taking my order slyly blew through the tipping screen as fast as he could, providing for himself a maximum tip% assuming I wasn’t paying attention. This is not a full service establishment and does not warrant 20% or more tip without providing any service as of yet. Should amazing service be provided, I will consider a tip after my meal, but not on the outset for simply selecting buttons to place my order to the kitchen. Removing two stars due to deceitful service.

I am super stoked to have found this small yet flavorful place! I love Peruvian food, especially the ceviche. We ordered everything from the tequenos, empanadas, ceviche mixto, and the Lomo saltado. First off, the empanadas were full of beef and juicy. I have had empanadas at other placed where they skimp out on the beef and stuff more potatoe than anything-this was not the case. The Ceviche was finger licking good. Lastly, the Lomo was so soft and tender. Very impressed with the amount of flavor they packed onto each plate. I wish I would have gotten dessert but honestly, I was stuffed.. Guess now I have another reason to come back. Try them out! Also be patient, they were super busy but worth the wait.

“Simply Delicious”… True gourmet sea food… Mixtures of techniques and flavors, cultural aromas of preparation with products that take you on a journey to the depths of feeling and enjoying what you see and eat prepared in front of you, with the energy of the Chef transmitted with experience and culinary talent, fresh multicultural to your palate. Excellent price-quality ratio for this secret Ceviche Bar, inserted in the center of the Houston Downtown. Its strategic location within this bustling and saturated urban space, protects the harmony and the environment to taste without problems the modern marine environment of the place. The select wine very agreed to enjoy without invading or removing prominence when feeling the taste of the sea. Beautiful decorative cultural details accompany you enhancing your comfort, giving elegance to the restaurant.

I became a fan of Peruvian food but this place is nothing to do with it, the service is very bad, I ordered a mixed ceviche, it was more, pure onion, colombian empanadas only potatoes and very, very little meat, and apart from that they ask you for a tip before of everything without knowing how they will treat you, I do not recommend it to anyone and for my part I will never return

We came here last Sunday. We were greeted really nicely and was recommended the ceviche embrujado because it is the most “filling” of the ceviches according to the man in front! He told us it would take 15-20 minutes and we waited about 40 minutes! We waited and at 30 minutes, we finally checked in for our order because a lot of people after us got their food! They must have forgotten. Anyways, we finally got our food and we were rather disappointed with the proportions. It is totally fine if it’s small, but the fact that he told us this was the most filling and it had smaller proportions compared to their other ceviches, seemed like he just wanted us to pick the most expensive thing on the menu instead. It did not taste that fresh and it had a lot of fishy taste that was overwhelming. We went home and looked up that reviews of the dish. We were obviously not given everything we had ordered. There are 2 pictures. The first picture is what we ordered and what was given to us untouched. There’s supposed to be clam razors and sea urchin uni, but they never gave it to us. We paid $30+ with tax and tip and they only gave us beans, fish, and oysters. The most expensive items were sea urchin and the clam razors. You can see the 2nd picture for reference of how it’s supposed to look like. It is clearly missing 2 key ingredients. This dishonesty is insane! They clearly knew what they were doing because you can see the beans were replaced instead of clam razors. The color of sea urchin is so vibrant too. They could have easily notified us if they ran out but they did not. Unfortunately, we only knew it was missing when we looked up the dish online after we left or we would have not known. We wanted to give this place a chance even though we had already eaten from other places at POST. We just wanted to support and try out their ceviches, but they didn’t even give us proper service and the correct full order.
