Loved the kickin shrimp poboy and the crab poppers! Definitely recommend – the owner is simply lovely too. Worth the stop.

There aren’t too many choices to eat around and we opted to stop here. We had the daily special which was sausage with red gravy over rice and a grilled shrimp po’boy.

I realize that Hurricane Laura destroyed this little gem and my heart aches for them because of it. Having said that, we recently were down to Cameron for a day at the beach and the family wanted to go grab lunch here. We knew the buildings were all gone etc so knew the atmosphere would be different. But I was a bit disappointed in the food. I had the fried shrimp dinner and the shrimp was so over cooked that it was like eating jerky. After sitting in the sun for a good while (we were told the umbrellas were all broken) waiting for our food I didn’t have it in me to wait for a replacement plus there was a long line of people from the plant. Hopefully they can get this place back to what it used to be.

Hole in the walls have the best food. Shrimp poppers have a kick but I wouldn’t expect anything less from a place being on the water. Catfish is some of the best I’ve had. When I’m on the trail again I will be stopping again.

Stopped here while camping at Rutherford beach cuz hubby was hungry. A simple food truck with outdoor seating, I wasn’t interested, but he got a Po’ Boy catfish w/ fries. He said it was so good, so I had to try a bite…that’s all it took! I got outta the truck and went and got me a shrimp Po’ Boy…Omg so good, would definitely eat here anytime AND try everything on the menu.

The Kickin’ Chicken Po’ Boy was amazing. Staff was very friendly, but food is always tasty, fast, and hot. Great place for lunch!

Nothing is stopping this place from serving up the most delicious “Kickin’ Shrimp Poboy” ever! … not even a hurricane that completely wiped their buildings off the face of their foundations 6 months ago!! Kudos to the spirit of the owners who have just kept going forward with a new kitchen trailer and their friendly smiles Was driving past, just off the ferry, when I caught their sign out of the corner of my eye and just had to turn around. Poboy was SO great!! Wishing you all the best as you continue to carry on. Will definitely stop by if I am ever in the neighborhood again. Thank you!

Taking the creole nature trail from Houston to New Orleans was worth it. This food truck is an oasis in the middle of no where. All the local workers come here for lunch. They have daily plate lunches that seem very popular. I got the famous kickin’ shrimp Po boy. The shrimp are fresh and grilled perfect. Add stringy cheese and crispy bacon. Throw on a creamy mayo type spice sauce and you are in heaven. The heat in not to spicy but just right. I got crinkle fries with it and they were so hot and crispy. Over all I highly recommend you taking this route to New Orleans if only for this meal.
