I didn’t know you have to wait a whole hour to get a small pizza with 4 toppings done. Told me 15 mins first. Then came to check after twenty some minutes and they are supposedly about to put it in the oven and should take 6 min. I come back after 10 min. They are still making it and it’s not even in the oven. It’s pretty good pizza but I don’t think it’s that worth the wait. Pretty ridiculous

Some say that Anchor Pizza is the BEST pizza in Newburyport and I have to agree. I have been in several times and each time I become more impressed with the service and food. My personal favorite menu option is the Mighty Merrimack BBQ pizza. It absolutely SLAPS. I gave some to my dog Charlie and he agrees that it did indeed hit the spot. On top of the food being stellar the service was great. Nicolle and Shay were very friendly and told me that I needed to try the Mighty Merrimack BBQ pizza. I will be forever grateful for their request as it is was the best pizza I had ever tried. Overall Anchor Pizza in Newburyport MA is my top choice for pizza shops on the north shore!

Always enjoyable time, but once recently I paid cash for a small pizza then sat in a booth and it was brought to me. Thoroughly enjoyed it. On the way out I asked if they delivered to Rowley and then they started asking me how I wanted to pay. I didn’t have a receipt but it got straightened out pretty quickly. Still made me feel uncomfortable! I will always ask for a receipt when I pay cash from now on.

I recently visited anchor pizza with a friend. I got a buffalo chicken calzone and let me tell you the service was IMPECCABLE. There was this nice girl, I believe her name was nicole…? Or maybe it was natalie, I can’t remember. Anyway, this nice girl made me an AMAZING calzone. I have never met someone who can make such an artisanal buffalo chicken calzone. Every bite was a slice of heaven. This nice girl smiled at me when handing me my pizza box. After showcasing her culinary talents, I watched as she diligently cleaned the kitchen like no other. This is what more people need to aspire to be like. They need to be like the nice girl who served me my buffalo chicken calzone at Anchor Pizza. You can tell this young girl LOVES her job as an employee at Anchor Pizza. If I could give this place 6 stars, I would.

Anchor pizza has been my favorite for years. Love the pizza. Slices are a good buy, pies are worth it. Lots of choices. The Plum Island is a margarita pizza, always great.

Typically great pizza… but when you order BUFFALO I guess you have to order their “special” buffalo. I was excited all day to have their buffalo pizza and ended up with a red sauce pizza pizza with dry buffalo chix chunk on it.. Doest taste like anything but red sauce.. very disappointed and not sure how they can call it buffalo.. typically good but not today. if they have two they need to specify when you order. Good buffalo or NOT good buffalo
