Wonderful and relaxing date night. The entrance is very entertaining and was not expected. Opening the door and getting my first look was awesome. The mood was relaxing. Seating was comfortable and service was prompt. We enjoyed all the drinks and food. There is quite the selection of liquor to choose from, some otherwise very hard to come by. For multiple drinks and courses, the check was still reasonable. I will definitely be returning!!!

There’s a lot of good here, and some that could use improvement. First the good, the vibe is super cool, and everything that came out of the kitchen was excellent. Their Waygu beef burgers are probably some of the best I’ve ever tasted. The cook in the kitchen knows what he’s doing. All the staff are super friendly, and did their best keeping up with orders and patrons on a busy event evening. And now a few negatives, and one is regarding the way the waitress staff handle their responsibilities. Each waitress seems responsible for taking their orders, making their own drinks, and cleaning their respective tables or bar area. This leads to long waits for customers, but at no fault of the staff. Our dinner was close to a three hour experience. Another negative is the layout itself. Yes it lends to the eclectic vibe of a Speak Easy, but is problematic for people having anything more than just drinks. It’s small in here for sure, but the tables and seating could be more diner friendly, and still be a unique dining experience in my opinion. The prices are a bit steep for some items, and reasonable for others, but charging extra for additional bread needed to finish an appetizer, comes across a little chintzy at this price point. All in all a unique and positive experience at a new local restaurant. I think considering all the struggles with staffing these days, they do a good job, with just the need for a few tweaks to make it a great night out. Also the proximity to The Harvester should insure they have everything they need to be successful in the long-term.

An absolutely super cool place. My fiancé and I went to see post modern jukebox at the Harvester and stopped in there for a pre-concert drink. The atmosphere is amazing. The drinks are spectacular. It’s a secret little hidden gem that made me look Super cool like I knew where the hip spots were.

Amazing find! Not only my favorite restaurant in Franklin County but my favorite in all the Roanoke Valley! Great food and what a perfect concept for the “moonshine capital of the world!”

The entire concept of a Speakeasy is spot on, the secret door, the decor, and atmosphere makes this a really neat experience. And the food is wonderful!

Cool little place, very avant-garde. Food was good (burgers were delicious!), great mixed drinks. Be aware, it is a very small place. If you haven’t been there before, there is limited seating, especially for more than two people. We were a group of four and took the last option when we got there around 5 pm.
