My husband and I visited Amici’s on a Friday evening. We had to park next door because the parking lot was full. We arrived 20 minutes early for our 6:45 reservation and although it was very busy we were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and attentive. Our appetizers arrived quickly and was delicious. The owner Jennifer came around to check on us while we were waiting for our main course. That’s something you don’t get at a chain restaurant. My husband got the lasagna that he almost couldn’t finish which is rare. I got the spaghetti pescatori. The mussels were fresh and the shrimp were huge. Even though my meal was seafood it did not smell or taste “seafoody”. Everything was very fresh and tasted like authentic Italian cuisine. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary so are waitress gave us 2 lemon drop shots and a piece of carrot cake to share on the house! She also put a card with the bill wishing us a happy anniversary! Jennifer the owner came around for the second time to make sure we were satisfied with our meal and she also wished us a happy anniversary. This place is a hidden gem of North Charleston! My entire experience here was 5 stars! Thank you Amici’s for making our anniversary so special!

I’ve been so excited to try this place since we’ve moved to Charleston and it was worth it! This is the closest to true Italian food like “mama used to make,” reminds me of the pizza/Italian restaurants of my childhood in NY.

I want to start off by saying, that the atmosphere by no means was bad, just don’t expect the big chain restaurant ambiance. Both meals that we ordered. We’re very tasty and we would get again. The restaurant wasn’t extremely busy, only five other tables had guests at them, considering we got there not long after they opened. As we were leaving numerous other guests were entering so it was going to get busier. The service was very good! We plan to return.

First off the hospitality is A1. Our server was very nice and attentive. The ambience is really nice and warm. The Italian music was nice. Now let’s get to the food. It was just okay. The calamari didn’t have much of a taste. Thank goodness for the marinara sauce that accompanied it. My spaghetti bolognese with meatballs was very bland and not seasoned at all. I added a little salt and it didn’t help much. My husband did enjoy his veal and salad. The soup and bread were really good. We will probably return one day but we’re definitely not in a hurry.

Food and service was good but we got charged $10 to split our food! We went about 530pm cause have to wake up early for ice skating competition the next day so we didn’t want a big meal. My husband and I ordered calamari and a pasta dish to share. Also, our 13 yr old daughter and her friend ordered a pasta dish to share. We didn’t tell them to split our dishes but told them we are going to share. They split our dishes to share for my husband and I and my daughter and her friend. We thought that was nice that they did that. They could have just bought an empty plate and we could done it ourselves. When we got the bill, we were charged $5 for each shared dishes. So totaled was $10! Waitress shld have told us this when we ordered so we could have the kids ordered kids meals and my husband and I changed our calamari to a pasta dish instead and ordered another pasta dish.

Moved here recently and I have been looking for a good eggplant parm. Ordered takeout here. Service was good, seemed like a good ambiance. The food was just ok. The eggplant breading and sauce seemed rather ordinary and did not contain nearly enough flavor. I will add the caveat that I am picky when it comes to Italian food but this was just underwhelming to me. May try this place again but would order a different dish.

Our server Kaylee noticed what our kids were interested in and quietly drew this on their waters. Her talent is very impressive – artistic skills, serving skills, and ability to personalize an experience. We were blown away.

Wonderful Italian restaurant. I’ve lived in Charleston my entire life and would pass by this place all the time when in the Northwoods area, and yesterday was the first time I’ve eaten here. I think this place just needs a bigger parking lot to receive more attention.
