The atmosphere definitely gives off soul when you walk in. Neo soul and R&B on the speakers when you walk in. It was very clean in the eating area when you walked in, which is a huge plus. The cornbread was amazing, so soft and the butter complimented the taste.

Warm cornbread and comfort food. I had the Lemon Pepper Grilled Salmon and my wife the Bang Bang Salmon. Collard greens, yams, and roasted vegetables. She had the winter in Mexico and I the Ole’Soul. Good vibe, food and music. We are definitely going back to experience other options.

This little gem is Incredible! Came in for the breakfast menu, but was really wanting to try the fried green tomatoes! THEY HOOKED US UP! Everything about this place (the food, service and full atmosphere) made me feel like I was back in the south!

We made a stop here, and man this food was good. Got the fried chicken plate with candied yams and Mac and cheese. All excellent. Fried breading on the chicken was perfect, not too oily and great taste. Meat was tender. Sides were great, molasses based yams. Daughter got the shrimp and grits and was also excellent. Will be looking for excuses to come back. Wouldn’t hesitate to order catering from here either, as I saw people picking up trays when I arrived. Overall 5 stars

I’ll start off with the good.. I love the Mac and cheese a lot. It’s my favorite thing from there. I would like to say, before serving someone the Collard Greens , you should inform them that it’s seasoned with pork as we live in a world where a lot of people are NOT eating pork these days. The fish needs to be fried harder… it’s so soft that it melted in my mouth. I didn’t like that. Also… the sweet potato pie did NOT taste like sweet potato pie… it tasted like vanilla. Kind of like the other ingredients overpowered the sweet potato. If you want better fish, Go to Lilly’s Soul Food in Windsor. The fish is AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGG. And their tarter is great too!

Very nice and clean restaurant, friendly staff, great music, great food and its not overpriced especially considering how expensive soul food has gotten the past few years. 10/10

Our first time going and wasn’t disappointed. I ordered fried green tomatoes and creamy crab corn chowder as my appetizer, which was amazing. Our entree was a shrimp basket that includes thinly sliced French fries and coleslaw. My husbands was a southern fried chicken sandwich that included thinly sliced French fries with a side of a Hubbard punch drink and the beer (not on their menu). Very delicious and very clean. We will be going back.

We had a late lunch/early bird dinner at 4pm on a Sunday afternoon. Between the four of us, we got wings, crab and corn chowder, fried chicken, chicken and waffles, lobster Mac and cheese, and a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Plus the most buttery corn bread. Friendly staff, but most importantly, incredible food. Everything was so tasty, even my salad, which I felt weird ordering (because who goes to a place like this and gets a salad?!). I will definitely visit again if I’m back in the area. Worth a drive!

We all had different things off the menu and everything was delicious and my crew are very critical when it’s comes to eating at a restaurant: the food was good, the service was fair, and the atmosphere was excellent!!
