Don’t be fooled by the name. Outside of the inflated prices, the American Dreams Italian Steakhouse is neither a steakhouse or an Italian restaurant. A better description would be an upscale(ish) dive bar with a couple steaks and Italian dishes on the menu.

First time visiting, and it was great. Waitstaff was very friendly and gave great service. Ordered food, and it didn’t take long to get. Was not busy, and I sat outside. The atmosphere was very relaxed and comfortable.

Beyond delicious!! The mashed potatoes are to die for! My steak was PERFECT! The hostess (Marilyn) was so kind, and helpful, not to mention the most adorable little lady ever!

Mashed potatoes were made from a rotten potato very bad and made me slight ill The replacement fries were good. Server was very good. Stuffed mushrooms were good.

Went and had the perch dinner and walleye. Absolutely amazing!! Stuffed mushroom caps were delicious as well. The whole family was very happy with everything. Definitely will be back

The only issue we had all night was it took a while to get our initial drinks and order taken. Other than that food was excellent and the people were nice. The bartender was super sweet and the hostess Marilyn was just a joy to be around. The live band was pretty cool too. My husband and I really enjoyed this place.

The staff seemed overwhelmed. The appetizers tasted frozen from walmart and heated in a microwave. It took forever to get drink refills. The steak was a mediocre cut at best, the pasta was… not that great. When the manager came around to ask us how our meals were, he did not like hesring any criticism whatsoever and said “then order something you would like next time, no-one else has complained”. We are not picky eaters by any means, i was nice and polite about my criticisms which were not well received, nor was there compensation (not that i expected any). I really liked the location and had higher expectations. More important than the food is customer service which was extremely lacking. We will not be returning.

Mac and cheese tastes like just the noodles, coleslaw tastes like water, Breaded mushrooms were chewy with no flavor but the cooking oil, and the ranch was the most disappointing ranch, it tasted like plain yogurt. This is no American dream, or an Italian steakhouse. It’s honestly comical how much I paid for a meal with zero flavor. Jt’s, the previous name of the restaurant, still sucks.

Our server Emily was amazing, our food, not so much. For the price of the meal, the quality of the food, and taste, I would not do it again. The hostess was very unwelcoming also.
