Very cute little restaurant that has nice decor on the walls. Staff was attentive and refilled chips and drinks in a timely manner without having to be asked at all. Food came out pretty quickly <10 minutes and it was lunch time at like 130. Food was absolutely DELICIOUS and the portions were pretty generous. We got a burrito, chimichanga and a quesabirria with a couple of horchatas. My wife said that the burritos was good. The quesabirriawas really solid and the dipping juice they gave you with it was phenomenal. The chips were fresh and crispy and the 2 salsa options were really good especially the spicy one if you like spicy (not overwhelmingly hot) the horchatas we're nice and creamy and tasted really good, especially with the splash of cinnamon on top. And lastly, my chimichanga was out of this world!! I got the carne asada chimi and it was so so good. I definitely recommend this place and will be back soon!!

I don’t normally give 5 stars, but Amelia’s is worth the trip. The menu is large, but the dining room is small. The wait staff was attentive without being overbearing, very friendly and pleasant. We had a wide variety from the menu and everyone was quite happy with their choice. The salsa was spicy and excellent.

The food here was GREAT! Definitely authentic Mexican food. This is hard to come by if I’m being honest. The team was very easygoing, attentive, and inviting. We were offered a taste of their birria. I dont like birria, BUT man, theirs was good! Soft, slow cooked, it seems, and the consome sooooo flavourful. The gentleman said it’s his moms recipe, and I believe it. Definitely taste home made. I 100% recommend it if you’re in Tucson.

We had such a great experience here! The food was amazing and the service was top-tier. The mango margarita was the BEST. The entire wait staff worked as a team for each table.

We noticed few thinks that we didn’t like. The salsa for the chips did not have much flavor as well as the house made Jamaica. Other than that the service was good and the decoration for the food is flawless. I got a chicken burrito and it tasted great (Picture attach) as well as the birria quesadilla that my partner got. Will recommend.

Went to Tucson for spring break with the family and we stopped by Amelia’s Mexican Kitchen for lunch after a long hike. We were a very hungry party of 12 and an infant. The staff was very accommodating, answered all the questions we had plus recommended the house favorites which were excellent.

My husband and I recently visited Amelia’s Kitchen and we were blown away by their exceptional customer service and delicious food. The highlights of our meal were undoubtedly their quesabirrias – perfectly seasoned and meltingly tender. Their complimentary habanero salsa and chips, added a punch of heat and depth of flavor. To drink we had Jamaica and a watermelon margarita and they were absolutely refreshing and delicious. The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure our dining experience was enjoyable. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and fantastic service.

I’ve been craving quesabirria tacos for a while and today was the day! I can’t say I was familiar with Amelia’s ever. We set out to try a different restaurant prior around the 4th Ave area. As we walked we noticed they were closing almost an hour early. We went to our midtown home and thought we’d have to settle. Boy was I wrong! Found Amelia’s on Yelp and the reviews were stellar. There was a glimmer of hope! We drove to the Grant Rd location and found patrons under the misters. We walked in and a table had just freed up for us. It was quaint and small but lively and very comfortable vibe. Our waitress was bubbly, personable and charismatically humorous which put us quickly at ease. She enlightened us of their origins and how the ingredients were skillfully used to make the most amazing salsas as well as all the items on the menu. My eyes were set on quesabirria plate with rice and beans. When my order arrived it was presented on a butcher block plate-sized. I took a bite of beans and I knew we hit some honest to goodness OG style cooking here. I couldn’t wait to dress my taco with chopped garnish of cabbage and a squeeze of lime. I took a bite and it was the most amazing QB taco I have tasted! No skimping on birria, or cheese and the jus or dipping broth was full flavor -no joke. Even HOMEMADE HORCHATA WITH CINNAMON YOU CAN SEE!!! I asked a few questions about their business and what big things are about happen for Amelia’s. A 2nd location on Oracle coming soon with a lot more room and larger bar(s).

Been here several times for lunch and dinner. Today I tried breakfast. Ordered the veggie omelet, hash browns and refried beans. The omelet was packed with veggies and just the right amount of cheese. The horchata and fresh salsa were amazing as always! I definitely recommend this place any time of the day. Food is always fresh and delicious. The service is quick and friendly.

Beautiful and clean facility. Outdoor dining was very comfortable with misters and beautiful lights for evenings. Service was friendly and brought water for our dog. We ordered carne asada and vegetarian street tacos. Both were absolutely delicious and the price was very affordable.
