The customer service at this location is below unacceptable. Not only is the guy in the front window rude and arrogant, they have the audacity to serve well done chicken! I will never visit this establishment or any other Ameen fish establishments. Service was so horrible i had to force myself to eat it due to losing my appetite. This was the 3rd time I’ve visited this restaurant for myself or someone else and the service gets worse every time. It cost nothing to provide service above 3stars however if I could I would provide NO stars! People do not patronize establishment that do not appreciate the value of a customer.

Stopped by there on 3/9/2023 for a 3 piece grilled flounder meal with double order of fried okra. The okra was good/bussin (only ate few pieces b/c they were fried— the other veggies offered didn’t seem appealing…need a full green veggie besides side salad) but I do not know what in the world happen to the flounder. As you view the pic, I did not receive flounder fillets, it was more like flounder pieces torn apart or ran thru a blender for couple seconds. Had I checked my food prior to leaving, I’d request money back. Taste wise— it was just ok. This was my 2nd visit (1st visit order fried flounder—& received whole fillets verses shredded/ broken apart pieces). However, I’ve reduced my fried foods consumption, so guess I’ll go to Captain D’s down the street from Ameen’s to get a FULL grilled flounder fillet! 2stars for the okra!

Got the salmon plate. It wasn’t too bad. It wasn’t too great either but for $11 I wasn’t too dissatisfied. The fish seemed like it was over done or had sat under a heat lamp. You know what I’m saying, not really moist and a little chewy. I didn’t hate it, but hopefully it’ll be better next time. Also had the fried okra which was great. The red beans and rice were decent too. Everything oddly enough seemed like it needed salt which I promptly did before I finished my food. Asked for a mixed tea, half sweet and half unsweet but they don’t brew unsweetened tea. *shrug* I’ll try again but this time it’s a 3/5.

Today was my first time here and I will be back again food was delicious it was hot n fresh. I had the grilled trout with fried okra and rice/beans with a 3 piece whole wing side and everything was GREAT.

Very consistent with the product. When I first purchased chicken I had not eaten any chicken in 6 years. It was delicious… then I had the fish. It was very good. I’m worst than picky… I owned 4 restaurants before retirement. I SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS BECAUSE THEY ARE CONSTANT….

The chicken was salty unlike the other 4 locations I’ve been to. It’s funny because the yellow rice is not seasoned so the chicken was heart attack salt while you are putting seasoning on your rice lol. But the service was awesome. The guy that took my order and came to the window was top notch!

Potato salad is too good. Red beans and rice, Swai, Catfish.. too many things to choose from. The Food is always made to order and it’s always the same every time – consistent. The staff is extra cool and always polite. Def my fav seafood spot for 23, my go-to go-to, when I’m wanting a fish plate with the sides. Menu almost got too many choices but keeps it new with some different to order due to variety. Give em a try 5/5

I never write reviews but this is the third time I’ve visited Ameen and it gets better every time I go. The Fried Catfish taste like it came from a family reunion. The okra… amazing, the fries… fried to perfection. The potato salad was the star of the entire meal. This place is a hidden Gem. Keep up the great work.

UPDATE – So since my original review, I have been here twice to eat ( well my husband went by n picked it up for us for dinner) and I definitely understand why I get so many door dash orders here…..it’s awesome ! If you are thinking about trying it, don’t hesitate to do so, u will not be disappointed I promise!!
