Small 7 table restaurant with the best southern Italian food I’ve ever had. Absolutely a five star experience. Food was fresh and delicious. It’s a weekly rotating menu with local ingredients and set up traditional Italian course style. Portions of the main course were elegantly presented and the perfect size. We had the scallops and flounder mains.(Excuse the forkful missing from the flounder).

If I could give this a million stars I would. I had one of the best meals of my life here this past week. I know that people go to Cape Charles to eat seafood, and they may overlook this incredible gem, so I want to make sure everyone knows how absolutely exceptional this restaurant is.

Visited the weekend before the Cape Charles Labor Day rush. Cafe + restaurant is unapologetically Italian/European. We arrived in the AM before brunch hours (which starts at 10AM) and sat for cappuccinos. Once brunch was served we ordered the flatbread and focaccia pizza (pictured). Both were very tasty. The flatbread has speck as a topping which called back to visits to Northern Italy where this is common. The focaccia pizza was crispy on the outside, airy inside, and perfectly chewy and flavorful. Service was friendly and I believe the owner herself is an Italian-American. Overall recommended if you enjoy having a slice of Italy during your visit to Cape Charles’ shores.

When in Cape Charles, this is the place you need to put on your list. My wife and I love this place! The food is incredibly good! The service felt so personal, we felt like long lost family members being welcomed home. I had the House made Fettuccine with smoked chicken and exotic mushrooms, outta this world. This Italian food is as authentic as it gets. Freshly made from scratch on premise, even down to the last strand of pasta.

My best friend and I had the most wonderful evening and incredible food! Cristina was sweet and welcoming! She takes tremendous pride in her food, as she should!! Every single bite was fabulous! We will absolutely be back and this time I will bring my husband, who so sweetly called Cristina to surprise us, and covered our dinner for girls night out! He needs to join me in tasting the amazing food, and you need to check them out too!

A friend and I had foccacia, the salad with berries, and seared scallops. Every bite was absolutely delicious! It is consistently gourmet. The chef has a light hand on spices and all food is well balanced. I love the way they take the time to chop the salad so that it spoonable. My favorite restaurant. Thank you, Cristina!
