Gets the job done . Collards were overly salty . Fish was okay. Mac was good for a faster paced restaurant . Fried shrimp was soggy, no crisp . If you have a southern craving , this will satisfy the itch . Fair prices

While the atmosphere may be minimal. Do not just gloss over this place. The food is excellent. My favorite is the jerk chicken and the candied yams. Cant beat the taste and flavor, the tenderness of the chicken. Everything is excellent here. The jerk chicken empanadas are also fantastic.

Went two days in a row. EVERYTHING was so AMAZING. Fried salmon, oxtails, jerk empanadas, green,yams, spicy wings, and yellow rice.

We just moved to the area, so I was really excited to find out we had a soul food spot so close by. I placed an order for a few fish sandwiches, Mac and cheese and jerk chicken. The food was so good! Everyone ate every last piece of food and they are already planning to order next Friday. Definitely 5 stars.

I drove 30 mins because I was craving some soul food. It was good. I have it 3 stars because the fish was very salty. I ordered a iced tea and it was undrinkable, just way too sweet almost like a syrup. Other than that the Mac and yams were good. Cornbread was like cake. Will try again in hopes of a better experience

Whenever I’m craving some good ol soul food I go to Amazing Taste ! I always get fried fish , Mac & cheese, & yams . Portion size was great , customer service was great and I noticed how clean the place was , which is very important to me especially when handling food .

First I’d like to say, it’s been several years since I’ve visited this establishment. I was a regular customer when they had the truck. I moved further away once they opened up a takeout restaurant which caused a lengthy absence. I visited the store on route 22 and was happy to see they remembered my name.

50 plus dollars, for a fish dinner, a chicken wing dinner, fish sandwich with two small pieces of whiting, and two small sides of potato salad. Customer service was great, however the price of the food for what you get is the worst in North Plainfield anywhere! I will never go back. Pure ripoff.

I’ve done a review on this establishment before, but today’s experience warrants an update. While I love the food at Amazing taste and has previously referenced it as to my new go-to Soul Food Spot, that has changed, I am currently in need of a new Soul-food spot. While I don’t proclaim to be the healthiest eater, I do love my food to be well seasoned, yet not over seasoned. Today I ordered a Fish Sandwich and Fried Shrimp. Although I felt that both were too salty, it literally felt as though I laid my head back and allowed someone to pour the Diamond Crystal Salt directly in my mouth; this was how it felt eating my shrimp. My love for shrimp is endless and I always devour any shrimp dish that is placed in front of me, however, today I just couldn’t do it. There was literally so much salt that I had to toss the shrimp, in addition they were missing the crunch factor. Now you may be saying, Maybe they were just having a bad day, And I can understand if that was the case, but the last time I placed and ordered the fish, it was too salty as well. So in conclusion I have decided to find a new spot for take-out fried Shrimp & Fish or just stop being so lazy and cook it myself; after all, at the price of food nowadays I can’t afford to be paying for something and then throwing it away because it’s inedible, I would have gone back & complained but I didn’t try it until I got to work. Such a disappointment!
