I’d been looking forward to eating at Amante’s for quite some time and found it to be wonderful. The cute little Taco place is on the corner of Dickinson right downtown. With no parking lot right next to it, people have to walk up and we were greeted instantly by the host who rushed to clear a table next to the firepit.

We have ordered from this restaurant twice. The first time they didn’t have an ingredient available and wanted to trade an $11 item for a $6 item without a refund – things happen, we were willing to try again because the food was good. The second time they sent an empty box for a $14 item. Someone had to close an empty box and put it in the bag, how do you miss that?

This was the perfect spot for a casual and delicious light meal on a beautiful evening. This place just opened in May 2022 and currently has all outdoor seating, but there are fans that help make it comfortable. The atmosphere is wonderful — relaxing and fun, complete with a DJ, cornhole, and major visual appeal. The food is out of this world — by far the most authentic Mexican we’ve had other than at Mexican friends’ homes. It is pricey compared to many Mexican restaurants, but as long as you go understanding that the cost will be offset by the taste and the ambiance you will be glad you decided to try Amante Tacos.

Great food. Great staff. Too hot and humid for outside at this time. Which would have been okay actually but the flies buzzing around created a problem. I think they need to put some extra fans around or do something. I probably will not go back until I see that changed. But food and service is top notch!

Went there for a birthday dinner with friends. The pick 3 dips appetizer and tacos were GREAT. I loved my strawberry paloma. Our waitress was so kind and gave great recommendations. Honestly, I can’t wait to go back!

This was $8 (1 taco-“bounty hunter”). Not terrible but not that impressed. Tasted alright but not much flavor. Nice to be outside, but between the flies, the heat, and the flash thunderstorm, I would have rather been inside. Worth a try if you are interested in this aesthetic experience, but beware, it’s a tad expensive for a family dinner. The AC in the bathroom was nice, though!

The atmosphere is great and service was good..but did not like the food I ordered..I had the Always sunny tacos..which is 1 taco for $7 way too overpriced..had too much salsa on it and cabbage slaw not a fan of it. Drinks are overpriced too ..had a regular margarita in a plastic cup.
