We had an absolutely delicious dinner outside on the patio at Ama Sushi. The restaurant is small overall, with only four tables outside, resulting in a very quaint, cozy dining experience. The service was excellent. We barely sat down and water + complimentary miso soup was delivered to our table. I’ve eaten a lot of sushi in my day and what I appreciate most about the menu at Ama is that you can order traditional sushi, sashimi or rolls; or you can explore a wide range of dumplings, tempura, soba/udon noodles, Tibetan dishes and more. It will take me awhile to eat my way through the menu, but so far I’m incredibly impressed.

Our favorite sushi spot. Very friendly employees who now recognize us. It’s a cozy space, but they have optimized it for lots of seating. Most importantly, the sushi is fantastic. Highly recommend the Green Dragon Roll. Will be back again and again.

I love the idea of buying whatever sushi you want at an affordable price plus you get a complimentary miso soup…however, I thought the food was just okay compared to other places I’ve eaten at like Tokyo Sushi all you can eat, etc. This review is coming from am Asian person who eats Asian food everyday and sushi monthly. I won’t be coming back as we spent $81 for everything in the photos. I didn’t like the crust on the soft shell crab- the one at MOA’s revolving sushi tasted better with their crust. My water was done and it never got refilled. The place was a bit squishy and when we first got there, another’s servers buttocks was leaning against our table l bc it was so squishy.

We waited ~15 minutes for a table on a Tuesday evening. The dining room is pretty small and it was a popular place! There are 3 tables on the sidewalk outside as well. The inside was pretty and had cool decorations. The location in Edina is prime, and there’s a big parking garage across from AMA for east parking.

Stumbled across this restaurant and it has quickly become one of my favorite places in Minneapolis. The sushi is fresh and there is an extensive menu of various rolls and options to try! The service is fantastic, alcoholic beverages are cheap, and the food tastes delicious. I highly recommend the Ama Roll, Snow White Roll, and Naruto Roll.
