What a hidden gem! Great spot for a date night with ocean and sunset views!! Food and service was outstanding!!! We had the seafood platter to start, hard to pick a favorite but the salmon, oysters & lobsters were my personal picks. Then we had the beet salad & watermelon salad, great pallet cleansers, refreshing and tasty! Next was the chimichuri steak & fries, miso butterfish, chicken kabob and brussel sprouts. Again everything was great but the steak and fries were my favorite. Then we tried the sorbets and cream pies for dessert. All winners but the chocolate caramel cream pie and coconut lime cream pie didn’t last long…lol

The menu is incredible and the seafood is so fresh and prepared to perfection. We must have tried every dish. All the flavors go so well together no matter what you order. My favorites are the menu Oysters, Beet salad, clams, seafood platter all the desserts! So tasty and gorgeous ocean view. Take your friends and have a nice evening!

This pool side restaurant is a diamond in the rough. Surrounded by award winning restaurants like Nicks and Ko, AMA can hold its own! Their dinner menu is full of flavor rich items from sharable, to entrees. I highly recommend the seafood platter that offers a half size of all their RAW bar offerings. My entree, steak frites was cooked to perfection. I also loved that they had gluten free options clearly marked on the menu and catered to my allergies without making me feel like a burden. I suggest going for dinner so you can enjoy a gorgeous view of the ocean/sunset while sipping on a glass of wine or a well crafted cocktail. Thank you for the amazing service and great dinner, we will be back for sure!

We came to this restaurant because we had paid for a one day pass to the resort to enjoy the beach and pool. Sadly this was the WORST meal we had in our time in Hawaii: my husband’s fish tasted fishy (and made his stomach ache), my shrimp didn’t taste fresh at all, the server served other tables that had gotten there after us, to name a few of the reasons we wouldn’t go back. the flavors were decent but it was $80 for a salad and tacos that were probably worth $40 for what they tasted like.

Good service but I sent my $30 burger back twice. Asked for MR and it came out WD both times. Tiny prepackaged burger overcooked twice. Skip this place.

The restaurant is casual but elegant and the view is spectacular at sunset. We visited this restaurant twice because the Grilled Island Ahi Steak was amazing. I have eaten Ahi tuna in many restaurants in different parts of the USA and thought this was the best. Not to mention it was $28 which i found to be a very good price for this dinner. acThe Classic Mai Tai was the also the best in the island. Definitely worth visiting, I’d recommend it to anyone who was visiting Maui.

Excellent drinks—Nick’s push pop was sublime. He gave us great information about the island, too. We also loved talking to Noe.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Ama Bar and Grill at the Fairmont in Maui. Nick and Noel were behind the bar and served us amazing cocktails and we also had an awesome lunch of fish tacos and burgers. The setting was great- overlooking the pool ( part of the bar is a swim up bar) and the food was reasonably priced (for Hawaii) and great quality but what stood out to us the most was the way that Nick and Noel made us feel super welcome and pampered but in a chill and relaxed way. They embody the Aloha Spirit and solidified to us that Fairmont does it right. We are sold on this hotel chain based on the experiences we had both at the Maui and Big Island Fairmont Resorts due to the excellent staff.

Poke was brown ($25) and had to be brought back. Cocktails seemed pre-mixed ($18). Shrimp had bugs on it. Most expensive AND worst meal you could find on Maui. They refunded the poke and shrimp, hence 2 stars instead of 1. Server was great, she just had to deal with bad food.
