Had the salad platter and Borscht– amazing! The cauliflower chicken salad (far right in the pic) was so flavorful — couldn’t really taste the cauliflower because everything blended together so well! The smoked salmon gouda (far left in pic) was …. I have no words to explain ….mind blowing and delicious!

Wonderful experience, superb service and tasty cuisine. Our kids enjoyed tasting Russian/Ukrainian food for the first time. We had the assorted Blini (crepes), the dumplings (vareniki), and some borscht. We topped it off with two pieces of Honey cake (Medovik)—super light and moist with just the right amount of sweetness

We had a lovely evening tonight dining with friends. I’ve never experienced “Russian food” so really had no idea what to expect. We ordered heavy appetizers because it gave us lots of flavors to try and then we also ordered some main dishes. Of course we finished with a sampling of her desserts!

A wonderful food experience and small insights into Russian cuisine. We weee fortunate to be seated in a Friday evening without a reservation. We opted to share two appetizers, 1. “”Shuba” Layered salad – smoked salmon, potatoes, carrots, beets, with mayo touch”, 2. “Assorted Blini Platter

Simply the best! We all know Boise is not very diverse and it’s so hard to come across a non-American food THIS GOOD! From the moment we walked into Alyonka’s cute restaurant we fall in love with how cozy it was and the ethnic atmosphere. The foods are amazing and totally taste like homemade foods and very high quality. Can’t wait to go back and try rest of their menus.

Simple delicious, I’ve dined here twice now & both were fantastic! You know those special places where the food feels like it was literally made with love? This is one of those spots. I hadn’t had Russian food before & Alyonka showed me what I had been missing!

This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been too. Hands down some of the best beverages and food I’ve been served in a very long time. I recommend the hibiscus tea lemonade for a refreshing summer drink and you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. The goulash was so good that I devoured the entire thing before our entrees arrived, much to the dismay of my fellow diners at my table. The dumplings are fantastic as well, but I had to take them home because I filled up on the tea and goulash. A reservation is a must here as well. Next time I am in Boise I will be back.

I’ve never tried Russian food before, but today I’m thanking myself. The Palmeni and Honey Cake were just amazing on a chilly winter day.

Great food, friendly staff. The building is a bit small so it can be tough to reserve a table inside but the patio is first come first serve.
