So not only was I greeted at the door by the owner Don Alvaro himself, but even more so besides the fact i immediately noticed the cleanliness of the store, I happen to glance at the reviews and I wondered 3.9 so I honestly did not expect much but I must tell you folks I’ve had plenty of Mexican food all over the States, so along with the speed of The order was taken and besides the fact that this was my first time eating here I truly take pride in leaving accurate reviews when I report the details about my experience at these restaurants but here at Alvaro’s im Saint George I will be personally compelled to state that anywhere from Betos to Rancheritos or the Average competition And all the way up to all the other local Hispanic and Latino kitchens and places, whether it be late night or during the day ! I must Say that with all the respect due to the other guys, BUT ALVARO’S Family Recipe ABOVE & BEYOND has the best Chicken Enchiladas Plate second to none TRULY!!!

Alvaro’s Mexican food is really good. I usually get a carne asada burrito or breakfast burrito with no potatoes to go. I have also gotten the chicken taco salad. I usually walk inside to place my order to go. The restaurant is very clean. The food is quality and quite delicious.

On the way to Moab we stopped @ this place by chance as all restaurants were closed on Christmas day. Good, tasty authentic mexican food for reasonable price. They had varieties of salsas which we had not tried before. We liked it.

The food is pretty good but, the service is terrible! Most of the time it’s semi okay but, my last visit the two girls working were such bitc… peaches!! I won’t be going back. I ordered food for 3 people and it came to $45 and they asked me to pull around by the front door … so I parked in front of the doors to be outta the way and waited awhile and when she came out I simply said hey, I haven’t gotten my order yet but other car’s behind me were getting theirs (still smiling, not being rude) and she gave me so much attitude and was so rude about me parking in front of the doors and not on the side haha listen I get it no one really wants to work fast food but at least be nice to the ones that come thru that actually smile and are nice to ya!!

Dry meat that tastes like it was grilled days ago it was so bad. Barely cheese on a quesadilla? Skimpy on the cheese, no flavor in the rice at all. Salsa is so watered down you don’t need to order a drink. Even the tortilla chips were bad! How is that even possible?!?! They should have just bought bagged chips instead of stale unsalted chips we got. The only good thing about this place is that it stays open late but do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. Im sorry but a microwave Walmart burrito has better flavor than Alvaro’s Mexican food.

Four of us had a very nice meal and a lot. The sevice was friendly. It is fast food style. There are several salsa choices – mild to “oh what have I done?! ” The parking is tight in some spots and spread out on others.
