This was on my list of places to visit while in LA and it did not disappoint. Came here for Sunday brunch with my sister and it was lovely. It was so peaceful sitting in the garden and the service was impeccable. Try the wine flight! For brunch we had the fish, black-eyed pea fritters, sweet potato soup, candied yams and shrimp and grits. The presentation was on point and so were the flavors!

Alta Adams is a whole vibe inside. Very welcoming environment followed by food that is AMAZING!! The menu provides so many great options and each dish is flavorful. The Black-eyed Pea Fritters blew my mind along with the Plantain Tacos that we had for appetizer. Plus meeting Chef Keith Corbin was like the icing on the 7up cake…sweet! Very great service and friendly staff. Definitely would recommend and we will be back again!!

Brisket sandwich – delicious, flavorful, tender, huge fan. The fries were fresh and crispy. Red beans and rice were so good, equal parts beans and rice, which I love. The cornbread was very good, just crumbled easily, so it was messy. Get the cucumber mint soda. They make it fresh, too! Fried chicken was disappointing, though, and the Arnold palmer was pretty average. Parking is an absolute nightmare, so if you have a reservation, GET THERE EARLY!

Pretty mid experience overall. There was a long unnecessary wait, and the food didn’t make up for it. Disappointing given its many accolades, and celebrity sponsorship.

Celebrated my little cousins Graduation the server was great. The food was bomb, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The greeter at the front was on point. Highly recommend

We had a great evening here. We were walk-in customers so we weren’t expecting to get a table as soon as we saw how busy it was, but the host was able to seat us at a table on the heated patio. The atmosphere was great – great playlist. Great vibes, tasty food and drink. Would definitely come back if we get lucky again!

I visited here during my first trip to LA. I was excited because this was a restaurant featured in Issa Rae’s Insecure. However, coming from the South East, their “elevated” a la carte soul food menu was an expensive & overrated experience. Greens had a bit too much vinegar but were seasoned well. The fish was spicy & fried too hard. The Mac had bread crumbs on top…if you know, you know.. The cornbread was the best part of the meal. I didn’t care for the fact that I was seated at a counter right in front of the grill, and left with my clothes & hair smelling like smoke from whatever they burned while I was seated.
