Let’s begin with the place, half of the building you will find the pizzeria and in the other half a bar..LOVE IT!!. We ordered the pizza and then through the doors to the bar. The only delivery option is to the bar hahaha.

Arguably, one of the best thin crust pizza in the Chicagoland area. Quality ingredients and made fresh on-site, served in the cash only bar next door. This no frills bar is cozy with that “dive” feel, salt of the earth patrons and friendly fast service. Well worth the trip from city to Warrenville!

Went here for the first time last month on recommendation and waited over 1:15 to get my pie for me and my wife. It was worth the wait as it is in my top 3 pizza places competing with Joes Italian Villa. Pizza was cooked perfectly and couldnt stop eating it, the staff was friendly and was supposed to be half pep as wife cannot have it and they cooked her up a small sausage pie which was great as it was more pizza for me. Took left overs home for lunch on following day and reheated perfectly and just as tasty. Layout is very awkward with multi level house and bar on lower level with small seating area but feels like you are eating with family. Cant wait to go back as it is 45 min from my house.

Although it’s a local favorite, and a cult classic in my own family, the pizza is barely above awful. The crust was super tough, the toppings were sparse, and the flavor was far less than average. They don’t take charge cards, and you have to leave the tiny “dining room” and go into the dive bar to fetch your own drinks. This is the 3rd time I’ve gone there over the past 35+ years, and each time the experience has been equally bad. Pick up a Home Run Inn frozen pizza and it will be far better than Al’s.

This no frills pizza joint is a hidden gem. They have a limited list of ingredients that remarkably includes anchovies. One kind of cheese. One kind of sauce. One kind of crust (thin) in 4 sizes. It’s a family run business that closes at 9pm every night. With all these limitations, it’s still the best pizza in the area. They do one thing: pizza. And it’s awesome. Perfectly crispy crust with the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. If you plan to order on a Friday or Saturday night, call ahead and prepare for a long wait. They have one oven and wait time starts climbing after 6pm as the orders pour in. I rate the atmosphere a weak 4, but I did say it’s no frills. What gets them a 4 is the proximity to the adjacent local (cash only) bar where you can wait for your order, drinking and watching sports with locals. They’ll deliver it to you there to take away or eat at the bar, where the bartender will warn you that the pizza is so fresh from the oven it will burn the roof of your mouth.

Al’s cheese and sausage pie is as close to perfection as it gets. I recommend ordering it well-done-they do a great job browning it and it brings out the crunchiness of the crust. Easily the best thin crust pizza in the West Suburbs. Used to be cash only but allows credit since COVID.

Best pizza in the area. We live in Naperville and moved there after 20 years in Lincoln park. Hands down the best thin crust I’ve had since leaving the city.

Incredibly tasty Pizza. A no nonsense pizza place keeping it simple works awesomely well for them. Give it a try you will be glad you did.
