So… Let’s start out with I’m always looking for a great chicken wing. I’ve had them from coast to coast. In many states I have one favorite here in Ohio I have now have three. A bit of caution the hot dry rub wings are . Not hot in a torch your taste buds sort of way, but a quality heat that is full bodied… It’ll open your sinuses for sure. Not to worry though there is a sauce to help cool things down. The chicken itself all has a good “scald” on it and is flavorful no matter the heat selection.

Tried this place out after hearing it was open and was pretty happy about what I found! Going inside I was completely blown away at the remodel! It did not even resemble the old Pizza Hut interior. It gave a clean, open and relaxed atmosphere. Going to the counter we had to wait a bit until someone noticed us- I think having a door alarm will help with that. Ordered our food and immediately was quite impressed with how many teas that they have going.

I was pretty disappointed in this place as I so badly wanted to like it. I love me a good chicken sand which but this just wasn’t it.. the fries were absolutely 10/10 perfect. But I got the chicken waffle sand which – overall it had a strange flavor. The waffles tasted freezer burnt and also extremely sweet- I could feel sugar crunching in my teeth from them. The chicken had a weird sweet flavor as well when I was expecting it to be spicy. The staff were very nice and the building looks great!! A bit pricey for the quality I received though. Will try at a later time in hopes it gets better with it being so new. (:

The staff was wonderful and the store was spotless. However the “hot chicken” is not what I was expecting. I tasted more of a sweet cinnamon flavor with little no spice even though I did choose the hottest option. The funnel cake fries were very good! I’ll try it out again in a few months.

The Mac and cheese was pretty good. The chicken seemed like frozen chicken strips from Kroger heated up with some seasonings. The wings seem like frozen precooked chicken as well. If this place is going to make it, they better fine some fresh chicken. Also, they better put some salt and spice in the coleslaw. It was very bland.

As a big fan of Skorpio’s Gyros, I was excited to try Al’s Chicken Lab. We were immediately greeted inside the door and introduced to the menu items. We opted for the Chicken Sandwich and Fries, one mild and one medium spicy.

Really great food and a nice spot to grab a meal! My wife and I had the chicken sandwich and fries and both thought they were really good. I got the hot and thought it could go maybe a notch or two higher but still had great flavor. My wife got medium and loved it! My daughter got popcorn chicken and finished off with churros! We will certainly remember this place next time we are in the mood for some chicken!

Great service, the chicken sandwich was superb! Juicy, the right amount of crispiness and the perfect portion, Al’s sauce is the bomb and compliments the slaw nicely (I had no room for the fries) There were complaints about the heat. I ordered extra spicy, the heat was there but more toward the center. The fries were the perfect size, nice and thick, hardly seasoned and would prefer them served with mayo. The fries were also wayyyy over portioned. I could see a lot of it going to waste. Overall, I can see this place lasting a very long time. Like with every business there’s opportunity to grow and the fact that Al’s chicken lab is responding to reviews tells me that they care! I’ll be back!
