I ordered the barbecue chicken lunch plate and it was really good. It came with rice and pasta salad. I also got their Pineapple orange drink. The brand on the can was Aloha maid. I’d definitely come back here again

I’ve had Hawaiian food before, but this was really good. I had the chicken katsu mix and masubi (probably spelling it wrong). The short ribs were really good, and the katsu was fried perfectly. I had never had spam before and was interested in the masubi. It was really good! It wasn’t as salty as I heard spam was. I actually ordered from them again on doordash and tried the double chicken, and the teriyaki chicken was good as well!

Good Hawaiian food. You can tell the difference if you lived in Hawaiian for a while but it’s close enough. Kalbi and chicken katsu are good and portions are ok for the price. No comment on the service as it was closing and no dine in was allowed.

I really like this place Their food is authentic and truly delicious. I heard the chicken katsu and Loco moco are classics. Then chicken Katsu is cooked to order and both crispy and tender inside. We got a pulled pork and cabbage too and it was it was nice and tender but could have used more sauce. The meat portions are generous and fill up the container. Their Macaroni salad isn’t some poor quality stuff you see in a cafeteria either. The macaroni salad and fries were pretty good. Even Their rice is nice quality rice. The lady at the counter if friendly and the ambiance is kinda nice too for a fast casual place. I had low expectations for this place when I saw the menu at first because I thought ” hmm I could make spam and rice and macaroni salad at home”. But you could also make burgers at home. This is just better and more authentic than just cooking rice and heating up patties at home. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Around 8pm the place was almost empty but the kitchen was really busy with delivery orders. Our group ordered two Chicken Katsu plates and two Loco Moco plates to-go. It took about 30 minutes for them to be cooked. I went to high school and college in Hawaii and I love Hawaiian grindz (island food), but unfortunately this place didn’t do the poor chickens any justice. Our chicken katsu was so dry and overcooked that I could snap it apart like a tortilla chip. Two ounces of Katsu sauce wasn’t enough for it being so dry. We didn’t even finish half of it. The Loco Mocos were good, kinda hard to get them wrong. The gravy was Ono. The potato mac salad was tasty and authentic. I’ve tried three Hawaiian places in Chicago and this is the worst yet for chicken. The Aloha Wagon knows how to do better Katsu in my opinion. If you want beef, this place is alright.

Came here many years ago without really knowing the city and was so excited to stumble upon it after moving to the area! This place has not changed at all in the best way. The food is still just as fresh and different!

The food was so good and well worth the wait. It is definitely made-to-order. I had the chicken katsu which was crunchy and flavorful. My sister got the mix plate and was as equally impressed (unfortunately I didn’t get a picture of hers). The cashier was friendly and helpful. I will certainly be back the next time I’m in Chicago.

First time diner, stopped here for lunch. We ordered chicken/beef combo, Pork/beef combo meals and spam musubi. That’s the Spam Sushi type roll. The food is delicious! The restaurant seems to have a great turnaround. The service from the young lady behind the counter was pleasant, knowledgeable and patient. When I’m in the area, this is a must stop.

Fantastic experience and delicious food. The menu is extensive and if you haven’t been to Hawaii (like me) make sure to ask questions. We got the hurricane fries, pork katsu curry, spam loco moco and spam katsu musubi.
