The first bite of a crisp Southwestern Caesar salad with jalapeno polenta croutons and parmesan chicharron … the savory depth of a cowboy ribeye with red-chile onion rings and pinto-wild mushroom ragout … the decadence of honey-fried chicken with buttermilk biscuits fresh from the oven …

The restaurant’s interior exudes a modern and cheerful ambiance, thanks to its abundant large windows. The portions of food were notably ample and beautifully arranged. The affable and well-informed service team enhanced the flavor of our meals. We’re definitely planning a return visit to relish their exceptional service once more.

A group of four and our first visit to Alma, which was opened two months prior. Our first impression was very nice decor and friendly staff. We were immediately greeted and seated. The menu items are very unusual but arranged very well and easy to understand. Our server, Annika, was excellent. She was 100% knowledgeable on the menu items and how they were prepared by the chef. This took a lot of guess work out of the ordering process. We had a shareable Hells Eggs which were outstanding with the candied bacon topping. We also shared a sample (free on the house) of the Mexican Cornbread which was very tasty. For entree’s I had the Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf. It was slightly infused with jalapeno. It was good. It was served on a bed of creamed corn and a side of Adult Mac n’ Cheese. The Mac n” Cheese was incredible. My wife had the Marinated Nova Scotia Salmon which she enjoyed. Our couple had the Hickory Smoked Pork Chop which he described as the best pork chop he has eaten. His friend had the Wagyu Beef Brisket Tacos which she also devoured. Our group also shared the Ceviche Sample which is served on a bed of crushed ice, and the Southwestern Caesar Salad. It was unusual in its presentation and was shared by all four. This salad includes baked parmesan type crust and jalapeno polenta croutons which were great. In summary, we enjoyed each and every item that we tried. Our server was 100% “spot on”. It was nice eating at a restuarant that exceeded our expectations. Often times I go away disappointed in our area restaurants but that was not the case with Alma. We will return soon.

Five stars all the way! The service and food were excellent! Attended a “soft” opening and was blown away by this great addition to Georgetown, Texas upscale restaurants. Looking forward to more enjoyable meals at this fine establishment. Dress appropriately, and I definitely recommend making a reservation!

Nice ambiance here nice staff. Giving 3 stars mainly cause my wife got sick after eating here and my stomach was not feeling great. The only thing we shared was desert so not sure if that was it but over all this place is worth a visit. Meatloaf was tasty. Wife had sea bass tacos.

Really great news spot on the edge of Georgetown. I had the soy ginger fish tacos and my wife had the cob salad. Waiter was great and helped us navigate the menu.

Definitely will be returning! Everything from the food to the drinks were fantastic. Attended a soft opening a few days ago and did not disappoint. Definitely would make a reservation to come back! Five stars is well deserved!

This place is a hidden gem…for now. I almost hate to write this because this place is clearly special, but it’s also fairly hard to find, and I’m guessing many people might be deterred by its location in a “retirement community”. The hours are also a bit confusing if you’re relying on the typical “google it” journey – definitely check Alma’s site, call them, or use the online reservation system, which is what we did when we finally “got in.” Unfortunately, I feel like my husband and I would have been in much sooner without confusing, conflicting info on Google and Yelp. C’est la vie. It was well worth the wait.

We went for our 10 year wedding anniversary and the chef gave us a little card that said “Thank you for celebrating with us” we asked if he would autograph it for us and he did! The food was great! Amazingly enough we both got pizza and they both tasted amazing! The only negative thing I have to say is, we need to go boxes for the pizza, and the young lady that waited on us didn’t use a pizza box she used a very small box which meant she had to touch each piece of pizza and stack them on top of each other

Excellent food and great experience! On par with the best restaurants in Austin but surprisingly in Georgetown. My husband had a cocktail (I don’t recall the name) with three rums. I don’t have a sophisticated palate but even I could taste five distinct flavors in it, one after another: spicy pepper, cinnamon, two other flavors I can’t identify, and ending with pineapple. I’ve never experienced a drink like this before. The deviled eggs with chili pop rocks were delightful. Our entrees and desserts were equally delicious. Truly a gem. I look forward to bringing friends and family here.
