This might be the best burger place in Columbus! Such a hidden gem in the alley on Pearl.

Incredibly short staffed but I didn’t hold that against them. Our server was very kind and made up for the wait for food with kindness and conversation. I do wish the music was just a bit more quiet but that is just personal preference. The slushies with alcohol were very good. I just wish there had been a menu with then written so I knew what alcohol was in each. The hostess attempted to tell me but I couldn’t hear over the loud music. The lemon drop was really delicious. I got the loaded fries and was not disappointed once they finally came out. My boyfriend got the Double Alley and it was HUGE! He said he could have stood to only have one patty on the burger but enjoyed every bite.

We decided to try something new and who doesn’t like a good burger. Unfortunately they weren’t serving lunch when we went, it was just brunch. I got the chicken and waffle…. Absolutely defreakinglicious!!! The chicken was perfectly fried and juicy. The waffle was made just right. You literally get half a chicken on top of the waffle. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Took a minute for us to be greeted and get drinks but no big deal the food made up for it. Explicit hip hop was playing and they immediately changed the music to more family friendly since we had kiddos with us, very much appreciated. I highly recommend this establishment!!

This isn’t the first time I’ve been to this restaurant, but it’s totally a different vibe. The graffiti style art it’s awesome. There was a bouncer and because it was after 9 pm they were carding everyone. We were seated very quickly, before our full group was there (7 of us). We ordered and waited…….and waited and waited. Apparently, our food tickets got messed up in the kitchen, and it took an hour and a half for our food to come out. They said we would get a discount because of our insane wait, but by the time the checks came out, nothing was discounted, AND gratuity was already added. Maybe it was a fluke, but this time, they didn’t hit the mark.

As some of you may know, I am a foodie that loves travelling and sampling the local cuisine. I love providing reviews on local eateries, especially when they go out of their way to make the experience a flop or a fantastic find.

Bad experience. So I posted only drinks because as we waited two hours for our food this is all we got. $100 plus dollars later. We we’re told 5 times our food was coming then our food was being plated. I should have know when we sat down and it took 15 minutes for someone to come get our drink order. And the place wasn’t crowded. The people in the booth behind us sat down after us got their food ate and left we were still waiting for our food. We got up and walked out. The manager came to us and let us know that they were getting our food together and it would be free. So I’m the type at that point I don’t want it any more because who knows how they feel now that we are irritated about waiting so long. The other people with us wanted their food so we wait some more they bring out half the order and keep telling us they are still preparing the other things. After a two hour wait we still only left with half of what we ordered. We paid our $100 plus tab drink bill but we were so mad we asked for a compensation on that as well. And noted we will never be back. One of the worse restaurant experiences ever. I have been wanting to visit this place and finally got the chance to and it disappointed me. The only thing we ordered were two burgers, the crab burger, and half order of loaded fries. Not sure what the issue was but it didn’t make any sense. Our date night was horrible I ended ordering a salad from our local bar because by now everything was closed. Let’s say I won’t be back not even to give them another try.

I’m really not the one who ever writes reviews but for this I had to. I had a great evening eating at the Alley Burger on Sunday, August 20th. Up until today when I found out my card was charged an extra $10 for a tip even though I left zero on the receipt and left a cash tip..?! So did my waitress obviously write one in front of the zero??? This has never happened to me before, and yes, they refunded it but on top of that… never should this have happened. This was my first time eating there, and when my waitress brought out a mixed drink we never asked for, she had said me and my girlfriend could try it. I kind of figured the drink was free and even though I bought a second one, again I figured I’d only be charged for the one I ASKED for. So I won’t be coming back…. Really disappointed. And she should be fired. This was extremely ridiculous.

Get ready… At first glance it’s a cute restaurant/bar. The art work was definitely a nice touch.. service -0! I love to support my people but they’ve got to do better all around. The waitress was TRYING we seen her moving around. She seemed to be over worked because she’d disappear and come back after a LONG time like 20-30 mins. It would even take that long get our drinks after our first interaction with her. The bar seemed under staffed as well because it took even longer for us to get our drinks! The food took way too long! My fried pickles were soggy not creepy at all. I had to send it back I could not eat no soggy pickles.. that ruined the whole food experience for me. I decided to not even order anything because the cook obviously did not care enough about how the food turned out to service me soggy fried pickles. Very disappointing! My friend ordered some type of loaded fries. She said they were OK and another friend said that they were too greasy. I could tell that the grease needs to be changed. my other friend ordered some mac & cheese when she first sat down and we didn’t get it for like an hour and a half later the waitress came back with an excuse saying that the noodles were taking a little long to cook, but we just felt like she forgot to put the mac & cheese order in. We kept seeing people get served their food or drinks before us but we had ordered long before them. It was Wednesday R&B nights. The music definitely was not it for me. I was highly upset about it. They had a couple people perform a song or two. They were fairly decent Artist. The female who was on the mic majority of the night singing. She has some vocals she was doing what needed to be done. There was another side of the restaurant bar that offered bottle service like a section in the club. There were guys throwing money on the girl who was singing she did not seem to like it, and they were throwing money on one of the birthday girls who was dancing for them lol. It was cringing to watch to say the least also not sanitary in a restaurant environment. We noticed the owner there immediately and he seem to be going up to everyone that he knew and speaking to them however, I feel like he needs to learn to make connections with everyone and speak to everyone who does business in his establishment. Any black owned place that I go to the owner is very friendly with everyone not just people they know except here . The doorman was very friendly and welcoming. They also had hookah and an artist there selling his artwork. Basically, it’s a hood restaurant/bar (heavy on the bar) in the heart of downtown. We spent $85+ person not to mention we drink 1942 so yea we expected this place to be on point! A shot alone here was $45 & for this type of service and establishment we were highly disappointed. It’s the principle..

We were headed in for a burger and found out they have brunch on Saturday and Sunday until 4pm. We started with the Kentucky peach cocktail which was refreshing. My wife had the pancake tenders which are chicken in pancake batter. These were so good I couldn’t stop stealing them from her! I had the Alley bowl which is eggs, home fries, an incredible house gravy, pico and avocado. Excellent blend of flavors and that gravy was so special. Next time I will get the biscuits and gravy. Wonderful staff and service. Certainly coming back!

We came in and had placed our drink order along with our appetizer order. I got my drink fast because it was from a slushy machine while my husband and sister waited 40 mins just for their signature drinks and there was multiple bartenders and the place was almost empty with about 15 people there all together for dinner. When we wanted to put in our dinner, we were told to hold off because we had to wait 15 mins while the kitchen went on a break. After about 30 mins. my sister called the waitress over to ask when can we put in our order and we were told that it would be about a 45 min wait for the food because the kitchen was backed up. DO NOT COME HERE!!! Very sad because our family always try to support local black owned business but now I see why they don’t succeed. Also, 3 drinks were $70 and it was nothing special and not to mention the famous 18% gratuity these business are now adding to the bill even though no effort was put in at all and a delivery fee as well. We never got our appetizer. Ended up leaving and going somewhere else.
