Only open for lunch. This was my first time in a restaurant like this. There isn’t a menu to speak of and only water or tea to drink. The food just comes at you as soon as you sit down with all sorts of sides. We had fried chicken, green beans, pea salad, mashed potato salad, roast beef, mac n cheese, squash, baked beans, rolls, collard greens and I’m sure I’m missing something. There was so much!

Allens was a great experience! It’s really family style dining! You sit down at a table and your sitting with strangers getting to know each other was a great experience! They brought out delicious fried chicken and meat loaf! The chicken was really good and fresh. Not the best I ever had but very good! The meatloaf was really good loved the sauce! The sides were good, I can’t believe they brought out 13 sides!! Overall a great experience! They really need to get some sweet tea in there! The regular tea with sugar ain’t cutting it!! I do recommend you go try it out!! Way worth it!

A unique eating experience that you don’t find much anymore. Family style serving and plenty to eat. Located in an old house, the dining room isn’t large so you sit where you can. This means you sit with other families/diners. Even as an introvert, this was a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Personally, I think this is a great experience for younger generations to understand how meals used to be served and how dining out was more family/community oriented. Give it a try!

A unique dining experience these days. You only get one option… Everything! Meatloaf, fried chicken, squash, greens, potatoes, beans, I can’t even remember all the dishes laid out on the table! And of course… Peach cobbler for dessert. Highly recommend.

Is cool that it’s family style. You don’t get a choice in what you eat just sweet or unsweet. Great price though. Nothing fancy. Very sweet people. 11.50 for an adult, 4.50 for a child. The cobbler and fried chicken is really good!

This place is fantastic. The food is served family style. The bowls of food are served hot and very fresh. The fried chicken is very good and is not greasy. The sliced beef is very tasty and not over done. The Mac and Cheese has plenty of cheese along with a top layer of cheese. The other sides were looking good along with fresh dinner rolls. For desert peach cobbler served family style with refills as needed.

Hands down, my absolute favorite place to eat in the whole county. Everything is delicious, and it tastes like childhood, back at grandma’s. You sit with others at a large table, family-style, but it’s interesting to meet new people and hear their stories!
