I am editing my review. Someone from the restaurant posted a reply and apologized because there was no lobster in the risotto. I forgot to mention it when I wrote the review. I also got the price wrong. It was $47 not $42 which actually makes the whole thing worse. I appreciate the apology. It was a very nice evening to have dinner outside. The drinks were very good. Had the shrimp tempura as an appetizer. It wasn’t very good. First of all it wasn’t tempura. It was just fried. And it had some weird sauce on it. Not good. The wedge salad was good. The beef bourgignon my wife had was very good. The seafood risotto I had was good, but for $47 I expect more than just one scallop. It was supposed to be lobster, shrimp and scallop and there was no lobster at all. There were four shrimp and one scallop. Why not two and two? I found the portions to be on the smaller side. Overall it was good, but I doubt we’ll return.

Everything from the scenery, to the food, to the service was absolutely wonderful. The food is so unique and fresh. We had started off with the watermelon burrata salad and Phyllos shrimp and for dinner the chefs special rack of lamb and yellowtail snapper. Everything was so delicious. Will definitely be back

George and I have been dining at Alexander’s for many years – we look forward to it each time. The atmosphere, both inside and outside, is excellent. The wait staff is well versed in the food and isn’t hesitate to assist you with a selection. Drinks are perfect – cocktails and wine! With all that said, a restaurant stands on its food – taste, temperature, and presentation! Here, Alexander’s is a step above the rest. Fish, veal, pork and pasta selections are flavorful and the textures are superb. The vegetables, from salads to accompaniments, are fresh and colorful. The desserts are made in house and tasty. Other than wishing there were more lobster chunks in my lobster bisque, the dinner we had there was great as was our waitress. (i think Mia was her name) We had a two year old in tow and he even had some of the food we ordered (sliders). We had the Chicken Milanese and the Grouper, both yummy.

We have enjoyed many dinners at Alexanders. Unfortunately our most recent visit Tues early dining was a disappointment. The beef bourguignon was not the same as our previous experience. The beef portion was smaller with less of the juice and not as tender. No pearl onions, A small disk of mashed potato which I dont recall having before . Not the same.
