Alex’s place is one of Port Richey’s best kept secrets! We were there with a large group of 14 people and somehow the single waitress got the food out quickly, it was all perfect and everyone got what they ordered 1st try! Prime rib was the special that night but there was a spread of different entrees ordered. The prime rib was delicious, juicy, tender, flavorful and honestly the best I’ve ever had. How they accomplished this with our large group and several other customers is beyond me but i and the entire group were impressed. Many are long time customers and the person who invited us has this large dinner every year at Alex’s. The entire meal was amazing, the environment was classy/casual if that makes sense and the waitress was a-ma-zing! It was definitely a memorable experience and we are definitely new, lifetime customers!

This was our first time dining at Alex Place. This is a relaxed atmosphere with a full bar and dining. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious! We had the daily special which was BBQ Ribs. The portions were huge. With the entre that good, I wished I had saved room to try some dessert. There is always next time. The menu selection is on the small side. But I will take quality over quantity any day.

My first visit. We went for the prime rib, but ended up having the fried pork chops. The were absolutely DELICIOUS! The staff treated us like we have been going there for years! They were all excellent. I will be back! I highly recommend it!

We took our three young kids with us as we wanted to eat at a locally owned restaurant while vacationing in the area. We knew it was a bar/restaurant so we went in with knowing it would most likely not be kid friendly. They did not have a kids menu, but the nice lady that served us helped us find something the kids would eat off the menu and divided it onto 3 plates for them. She was very polite to us from the moment we walked in. The food is definitely not typical bar food, but instead fresh handmade food that is well cooked. The price was a bit steep, but the way we were treated made up for that.

This was our first time here and we were greeted immediately by a very friendly young woman. The menu is not huge but all the food is obviously cooked from scratch. We had the firecracker shrimp for an appetizer. He had the 3/4 lb burger and I had the pork chops. Everything was delicious and the portions were very generous. All in all, two dinners, a cocktail, a soda and an appetizer came in just under $60 and we had a ton of leftovers. We will definitely be back!

Looking for a place to eat dinner,with most of the diners closing soon we googled and found Alex’s..we were like 6 minutes away,so we got there quickly,and were greeted by what turned out to be one of the nicest ,most pleasant servers I’ve ever had..a naturally kind person in and out of work I would bet …we ordered firecracker shrimp,wings,po boy sandwiches..both chicken and shrimp..oh soup too .. everything was delish..the restaurant/ bar was pleasant,you can tell it s a neighborhood bar,very inviting..a great experience..will definitely go back .✌️

What a great place that has been in Port Richey for a long time. We really enjoy it. Everything is cooked fresh so you might have to wait a little bit for your food, but it is well worth the wait. So if you haven’t been, you should go check them out.

After all the reviews we saw with 5 stars we were very sadly disappointed in food and service, if you weren’t a regular you pretty much got ignored, very slow service, bland food and steak is previously frozen, we did enjoy our salads and the loaded fries were good but a bit too soft…was our 1st and last visit there
