Aldo’s is one of my favorite small quaint authentic Italian restaurants in the northern Ohio area.

Staff is always helpful and friendly. Truly treat you like one of the family. Food has always been excellent each visit. During my latest visit started with the peppers and sausage appetizer. Marinara sauce is amazing and a true highlight of the dish. Lends itself well for dipping your bread into. I had the house lasagna as my main entree. The meat marinara combined with the cheese and noodles were excellent. Dessert was the Belgian chocolate mousse. Highly recommend Aldo’s for it’s intimate atmosphere and wonderful food

Fantastic family restaurant! The food was made fresh and delicious, and the owner is super friendly!! We got the sautéed calamari, fresh bread, spaghetti and meatball, and everything tasted home-made: made lovingly and cooked to perfection. All the photos on the walls are of the owners and the family! Truly a family restaurant, I love this place!

Charming restaurant with wonderfully authentic dishes. This is what the chain Italian try to duplicate but cannot match – the natural flavor of the dish without the copious salt and deep fried aromatics that dominate Italian food adapted for the American palate. The exteroir betrays what is acharmingly Italian dining room with an intimate feel. Wonderful hidden gem.

Aldos had been one of my all time favorite restaurants for over 30 years. The food is exceptional, the service excellent. Always great specials, and believe me, they know how to make them. The kitchen staff is fast and efficient and your wait for food after being seated is never long. My favorites are the cold seafood antipasto salad, and the calamari steak (try finding that somewhere else), always tender and delicious. Get there when they open or be read for a wait, but get there.

Owner is arrogant and a homophobe. Reciting bible passages. No problem taking gay money though.

Tonight my fiance and I stopped at a local small restaurant. This restaurant is one of those hidden gems in Brooklyn Ohio. The man who opened this restaurant immigrated from Italy and had a passion for cooking. He has since passed away and his son now owns and operates the restaurant. The food is Italian and damn is it good! The decor was full of pictures of his family, the picture I remember the most is the one of his grandmother standing on a stool stirring a pot. If you’re ever in the area and like Italian please stop by and support them.

So I write this review with a heavy heart. Some words of advice for the owner. You do not need to share and impose your opinions on your customers. As a woman I don’t like my food served with a side slab of a male chauvinist comments. Just shut up and let your customers enjoy their dinner.

The food was spectacular. Great portions, with fresh warm bread, and desserts that topped off the evening. The service was enjoyable with a young family member learning the ropes by delivering bread and to go boxes. Great find!
