Good pizza. My family isn’t a fan of pizzas, but we agreed that the pizza here was pretty good. We ordered one combination pizza of Aldo’s specials, half bread sticks and one clamp chowder. The pizza and the bread sticks are good, but the clam chowder is a but salty to me, but my baby likes the complimentary snacks that come with the clamp chowder.

Today was my first time there. Had a very nice conversation with the manager Manuel discussing pizza and other Foods. the staff was very friendly and polite and trying the pizza for the first time was absolutely amazing! I just moved to the area with my wife and this will be a great place to go for some nice authentic pizza with a smile.

I’ve been going here since I was 3 months old and 33 years later still my favorite pizza place.

I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl when I used to live on Cary Avenue. I live in Sacramento now but every time I come to San Mateo, I have to stop by and get some pizza. Lately we’re hooked on the Mexican pizza! But my go to is always the combination sandwich yummy or literally any pizza. Mr. Aldo, thank you so much for the delicious pizza that I can always count on. Don’t ever leave Cary Avenue!!

Been going here for over 4 decades. Love the thin crust NY style pizza. Star of India (jalapenos makes it Indian ♂️) is a usual but the vegetarian (mushrooms) is great too.

Very homely, chill spot with really good pizza. Not fancy by any means but the food is worth trying

I have eaten pizza at Aldo’s years ago, and it was very good. But..about a month ago, I ordered a large sausage and mushroom pizza to pick up. I realize that because of the epidemic, emotions can run high. When I entered to pay for and pick up the pizza, the owner was angrily addressing the two women in the kitchen and kept going at it in the midst of my purchase. I felt sorry for them so I gave a tip. Well, got the pizza home and noticed a miniscule amount of the toppings I ordered. After taking a bite, the dough I found not to be thoroughly cooked. I paid a lot of money for a very substandard pizza and felt ashamed for leaving a tip to boot. I won’t be ordering again from Aldo’s, because being thoughtful to the customers and giving them an excellent product for that price, should be a top priority, and it was not that way there.

Good pizza, but can’t follow simple instructions for delivery. First time we ordered, gave instructions to call at the gate. Good thing the neighbors were home, because not only did they not call, they went to the wrong place. Driver claimed they never passed the instructions along.
