Been eating here since I was 3. The only thing that’s really changed is that they have added an outdoor bar that sells booze… This place isn’t big on change. And that’s good! Big juicy sloppy Alby-burgers with huge cheese curds and a mountain of fries…how can you go wrong? I would avoid this place during holiday events because the wait time can be excessive. But in the Early days of summer and towards the end of August, this place becomes pretty predictable and accessible. They have become much more efficient with their ordering process, and the food actually comes out pretty quickly, despite the horror stories some locals will tell you. Bring the kids, bring the baseball team, Bring the Marine Corps, chances are they’ll be able to handle it. You can certainly order things to go and eat them at home, Plus when the milkshakes Are just a little melted, I think that’s when they taste best. Far as I am concerned, it’s not summer vacation on the island unless you hit the Alby at least once or twice.

There’s a reason for 47 seasons and best burger in Door County! We had a cheeseburger and the Alby Burger ! Had cheese Curds and French Fries on the side. Quality cooking takes time so pack-your-patience. Don’t forget to visit the Tiki Bar behind the Albatross Drive In.

Waited an hour to place the order and another half hour to get the order. The burgers were good but not worth the wait. They said they were not fast, but it would be helpful to provide an estimate to people waiting in line so that we can decide whether to commit to waiting from the start. Like put a sign at the end of the line with an estimated wait time; there were plenty of restaurants nearby. We picked this place because we thought eating burgers would be faster than sitting down at a normal restaurant.

Food was great. Get here when it opens and then relax at one of the outdoor picnic tables. Not for those in a hurry. Food is delicious. Shakes are delicious. Freshly made, hot and good.

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. My burger and cheese curds were absolutely delicious! The wait for the food was not long either which always makes me happy. The only thing I was bummed about was there was a lot of bees and I found it hard to sit there and eat. Definitely worth the stop!

The wait is very long both to order and to get your food. Hamburger was really good and the fries were excellent. The bar tender at the tiki bar was awesome. If you don’t mind waiting it’s a great place to grab lunch.
