Not sure how we missed this gem of a place in Culpeper, but we are super glad to know about it.

Very friendly staff. Nicely appointed location. Robot delivers food, actually very effective idea. Food is very tasty and well presented. Not very busy when we visited at 1pm. Only the hostess/server was present.

The BEST GREEK restaurant in town. Food is amazingly delicious, staff is friendly and the Albana is beautiful, brilliant and puts her heart into ever meal. I could eat her food everyday!!!

Good food and friendly staff. The restaurant has about 6 or 7 tables for seating and appears to do lots of carry out orders. Pricing runs about 10-12 if you get sandwiches and about 15-18 for dinner entree. We sat and were served quickly. Food was good and we didn’t have any issues. They do use a food robot to deliver food to your table. It has a cute cat face. It did make it difficult to decipher what food was what for our table of 4 who ordered all similar food items. We had to call over the waitress to ask them what was what. Overall I would recommend it.

IMHO this is the best restaurant in Culpeper and I’ve been to nearly all those reviewed here on Google. All the food is fresh, cooked to order, well presented, and delicious. I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu and liked it all. I’ve eaten in several four and five star restaurants in my life (77) and this is one of the best. The baklava is outstanding! Do yourself and favor and try Albana’s.

Everything I’ve tried here has been top drawer. I’m Greek so I’m pretty critical about Greek food. This place is a keeper.

We came on a busy Friday night and it took a long time to get our food…BUT there is a reason for that! The food is made by a Greek expert who puts her heart into each item! It’s all made from scratch and excellent! I got the greek salad and it was super fresh. My wife got the stuffed peppers. Also fantastic. Try this place if you haven’t! Those that have already know. Great job you guys!

Albana’s Taverna is an absolute gem and I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t one of the best Greek restaurants I’ve tried. I don’t live too close to Culpeper either (my mom and I were actually just passing through on a road trip), so it was serendipitous that I even found this restaurant in the first place.

I have to tell you, I was so incredibly impressed with this whole place. When I first walked in, the atmosphere was great. Not crowded, they had the absolute coolest table lights. You could control the light on your own table for menu viewing purposes. It really set the tone. Then the food. Omg was it amazing. I met the owners of Albanas, they were very nice people. The wife is the head chef that actually is from Greece. Her food is Cooked so fresh. While talking to them, they were very clear that they wouldn’t have it any other way. You can’t find that anymore. It means so much. I read a few of the other reviews on here about how long it takes to get the food, to me, these must’ve been people looking for fast food in a sit down restaurant, this aint burger King people… it’s worth the wait. My food didn’t take long at all. The appetizers were sooooo good. Omg this spicy crumbled feta cheese was to die for. I’d love it if they sold it by its self I’d order it online and have it shipped to the house. I was so impressed with this place given the location and the end of a mini strip. I gotta say, the reviews that I read and their Google score pointed me here. If you’re reading this trust me, go here, get the appetizers, and grab you a Gyro. You won’t be disappointed, if you are you probably need slapped.

Not sure Albana can take the heat of the kitchen… Usually this place is fantastic and we always brag upon the food and the service. However we had a different experience today. It was 90 degrees in the restaurant. Yes 90 and we confirmed it on the thermostat because we were sitting right next to it. Our waitress was amazing, very attentive and was helpful. However, my daughters food came out wrong. My wife then asked for Mayo for her sub and when our waitress went to ask for Mayo. We could hear Albana give her employee a very hard time over her just asking for Mayo. Hearing her get after her employee has made me second guess coming back. And left wondering what the real reason for hiring a robot was. I’m all about good Greek food, however you can’t treat your staff poorly.
