Food was so so, nothing special about the meals. I give them 4 stars on presentation. The staff seemed unorganized as we were approached three different times with other customers food. Maybe there were understaffed or just having a bad day but the wait time to be seated was long and there were not full. We had to track the wait staff down for the check. The food also took a while to get to the table. We ordered a bento box and steak fried rice for context. Will go back but maybe another 6 to 9 months.

The staff was very friendly, customer focused and helpful. Very respectful. The Sushi was very delicious. The sushi also looked ornate and beautiful placed with flowers on neat clean plates. Great food and service! If you love the Kobe hibachi type food you’ll love this place. You can get a delicious combo like steak and chicken with rice and vegetables and it also comes with ginger salad and soup for at least half what you’d pay at Kobe’s, Tokyo’s, etc.. highly recommend!

Aug 2022: we’ve been back 4 times because the food is good, the price is good. But I’ve dropped the 5 star because service is CONSISTENTLY SLOW and inattentive. Understaffed. Sushi is prepared and sits for 10-20 before being served.

I’ve been going to AKO for a few years now, and have not once ever been disappointed with our experience. It was actually the first place I tried sushi, and have since tried many other places both here locally and traveling yet I always come back to AKO for my favorite dishes. The Mango Roll is my absolute favorite. Hibachi has always been up to satisfaction, meat cooked exactly the way I ask and a huge portion. My boyfriend and I always share a Spicy Tuna Tower (pictured), and it’s one of our favorite things to look forward to. The service is extremely friendly, accommodating, and willing to get whatever we need in a timely manner. It is a casual yet intimate experience, and I highly recommend this sushi/hibachi place to everyone I know!
