Opened in 2010, the goal of Ah’ Pizz was to create a pizzeria that serves authentic, Neapolitan pizza and to bring fresh ingredients and the art of pizza-making to downtown Montclair, NJ. Pizza at Ah’ Pizz is delicately prepared using imported, Italian ingredients and cooked for less than 90 seconds in a wood-fired stone oven. This artisan approach to pizza-making was a first for the area, and patrons soon started coming from all over New Jersey to experience it.

Very noisy place, bad acoustics. No longer BYOB, but the beer taps aren’t on yet either. Great Pear salad with grilled shrimp, but what they call focaccia is just thin crust pizza dough topped with herbs and grated cheese. The flavor was good even though the texture was not.

Ah’Pizz in Wayne, New Jersey is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Their wood-fired pizzas are cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of char on the crust. The ingredients they use are fresh and of the highest quality, resulting in pizzas that are bursting with flavor.

Hosted a baby shower for our daughter on a recent Sunday afternoon with over 80 guests. Our party was a complete success due to the unique venue, the wonderful servers and bartender and John, the manager. We cannot say enough how accommodating everyone was not too mention the delicious food and the amount of it. The entire restaurant was ours for the afternoon. Everyone enjoyed the entire experience and we continue to receive compliments on what a wonderful day it was. I can highly recommend Ah Pizz in Wayne for your parties and just a night out for dinner with their extensive menu. You won’t be disappointed. Enjoy and mangia!!

Really good environment and vibe. We tried a handful of pizzas and liked a majority of them. I haven’t tried the pasta but if it’s as good as the pizza I wouldn’t complain. The size was good and toppings were plentiful. It was byob at the time and there’s no cork fee. I would recommend visiting at least once.

We finally were able to make it to Ah Pizz in their new Wayne location. Plenty of parking available in a bright open lot. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and were seated immediately. Our server showed up quickly and took our drink order. We were asked if we needed time to look over the vast menu and specials page which we definitely needed. Appetizers were calamari, meatball sliders and a small pizza with meatball and anchovies. The calamari was plentiful and breaded just right and lightly fried. The meatball sliders, 3 on the plate were excellent. The pizza was perfect. Very little flop and just the right amount of sauce, cheese and toppings. Main courses were Sunday Gravy off the specials menu. Rigatoni with sausage and meatballs with a dollop of ricotta on top. The pasta was great, just the right texture which held the Gravy and cheese well. Being so new the large bar was not available as of this visit but many tables did bring their own adult beverages. Definitely will go back again as we enjoyed our first visit.

Excellent food just like the other Ah’ Pizz locations however they have significant issues to work out with service. We made a dinner reservation for 6:30pm on a Saturday (peak time) arrived at the restaurant and were greeted and seated immediately. There was a very large 25-30 person group/event going on at the same time we arrived. We sat and picked what we wanted and waited 10 minutes (!) for someone to arrive to take our order. We ordered 2 apps and 2 pizzas at 6:40. Our apps did not arrive until 7:30! We waited a full hour for just our appetizers to arrive and we were starving. The food was very good when it finally arrived but it took far too long to get out of the kitchen. The restaurant was understaffed and only had 3 waiters for a place of about 50+ people. We let our host (the owner) know we waited 1+ hr for food politely and he replied they were understaffed. Hope to be back here in the future to raise my review to a better ranting if the service improves.

Went here last night and I was a little sketched out at first when looking at their online menu, I must say that it was really good and amazing food. Hands down the best pizza pie I have ever had. I say this because you can taste the freshness of the ingredients they use, not just the freshness but the quality as well. It was a little busy inside, quite a few celebrations going on, but I’m sure that’s cause they already know what kind of a gem this place is. I highly recommend this place if you haven’t already tried it.

This place shouldn’t be in business. Cant get a simple order straight. $75 for 2 16″ pizza’s and you cant get it right really. Pizzerias much cheaper then you got it together. I suggest you pay attention to details before you rip people off.
