This place is cute and small. The parking lot is limited, so you might need to use street parking. The presentation is fabulous. It owns by a husband and wife duo. We got to meet the husband during our visit. He’s very friendly. You need to order and pay before seating. We found the food was flavorful but leaning towards sweeter side. For small kitchen, they can cook incredibly fast.

South east asian fare with items from Thai, Laotian, and Vietnamese cuisine in a comely setting. The Praram rice dish with fried chicken, and Pho Tai were delicious and stood out. Service was quick while the staff was warm and welcoming. Gotta give a shout out to the plating; all dishes look vibrant, fresh, and earthy that work up the appetite really well.

I was anxious to try Ahan after seeing chef Jamie Hoang nominated for a James Beard award for Emerging Chef in Madison. Ahan was focused on takeout when they first opened in 2020, but they also now have a small indoor seating area where you order at the counter. Don’t let this keep you from trying their food whether it’s to go or in person. It’s amazing, fresh Southeast Asian cuisine. We had no problems with service, the staff was all polite and helpful on our weekday visit. Keep in mind the kitchen is also tiny, two people are working to make all the food so I’m sure they are limited as to how quickly they can fill orders. If I lived in the area I’d be getting food to go all the time, but I’ll be returning and recommending Ahan to others. It’s outstanding and reasonably priced for the quality!

The veggie roll is no joke, super huge and tasty. Also had drunken noodles (for which I asked to avoid any shellfish and they made it happen and it still tasted good). Also had a couple other dishes and everything was really good. Sustainable, eco friendly packing to top it off. Their doing good by their food and the environment, kudos. Parking is tight and kinda hard to get into. Seating inside limited. Staff friendly. Felt it was pricey but I’d go back, it was worth it.

First off parking quite shallow for that but it’s definitely worth the time finding a spot close or far. My family and I had a great lunch here today kids ate well which is always a plus, the menu was really nice and can’t wait to come back to try the different food, service was great! Smiles all around and friendliness was great didn’t have to wait long for the food which is always very pleasing. Thank you for a delicious lunch and great service! Will be back. Definitely a recommended place to dine and enjoy yourself with family and friends.

So grateful we have a spot like Ahan in the neighborhood. Ha Long Bay used to be my go-to SE Asian takeout food, but I grew tired of never making it through the phone line and the inconsistent quality. Ahan is always solid. Their dishes are thoughtfully prepared and balanced with great ingredients every time. Takeout system is slick. 10/10 would recommend!
