We hope to soothe the taste buds with comforts and classics in the morning: serving brunch Wednesday through Sunday. Beginning in June, we will host a unique coastal dining experience Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

The food is both familiar and innovative—an example would be wonderful bruschetta elevated by perfectly steamed clams and fresh purple watercress, or perfectly fried soft shell crab offered in a shallow pool of a subtle yet complex curry sauce. Wine list is interesting without being pretentious. Cocktails are terrific. The servers are uniformly attentive., if harried when the tables are all occupied. The space can get a bit noisy for a place with a gourmet menu, but that’s a minor concern. Highly recommend.

Delicious with a menu that is updated weekly to offer new dishes. I had the Thai mussels , the coconut curry they are in was amazing! Bf had the angry crowded. He liked it. I have included pics of our entrees and menu with descriptions. The only restaurant in a wide radius with an actual chef. The wine selection is nice and staff very informative and helpful.

So I’m not even sure where to start with how amazing this place is. The small details of this place show how much passion and care the owners have about their place. The ambiance was great, and the food even better. Make sure you check out the small shop they have as well. Best part, it’s barely an hour away from Richmond. I can’t wait for my next visit. Incredible food, service and overall experience. The steak was superb as was the ceviche, corn soup, burrata, tempura soft shell crab and tempura shrimp. The pavlova and chocolate dessert were a wonderful end to a delicious meal. A must in the area!

One of the most disappointing, “upscale” dining experiences in recent memory. We were the second group to arrive right when they opened. I asked not to be sat at a high top table and received major attitude from the hostess. Unfortunately, the food was even worse. The burrata was tasteless, the crab was underwhelming, and the fried fish was absolutely impossible to eat with so many small bones. I complained to our waiter that my dish was inedible and he said he’d tell the chef – no other action taken. Would never, ever eat here again. No idea why this restaurant is so highly rated.

Everyone enjoyed their Celebration meal starting with the raw local oysters on half shell! Yum! We rave about the tempura shrimp dish and the fried chicken and the gnocchi…really a great dining experience and you can tell (open kitchen) kitchen staff take pride in seeing guests like us enjoy dinner tremendously!
