Food is tasty but the miserable girl working there ruined it. She clearly doesn’t want to be there and it made us feel awkward. We enjoyed the food and service better last year. Gave us terrible heartburn and we eat just about every cuisine. Meaning we’re very accustom to different meats, vegetables and spices. Sad because we adored this place a year ago.

Food was good and had large portions, but the overall experience left much to be desired. For eating there on a Saturday, I wished there was music playing in the restaurant and that the staff had been a bit more knowledgeable/descriptive of the menu items. Still would recommend checking it out for a casual lunch if you like trying new foods.

My boyfriend and I shared the vegetable platter for 2. It was delicious. My only complaint is that they dont give you bread to scoop it up with like most Ethiopian restaurants do. They charge $4.00 for bread so we just ate the bread from below which was well marinated. If the bread was included, the experience would have been excellent!

I got the churrascos and i ate them too fast to take a picture so just imagine what it may have looked like. Trust me, it was literally good. Like you’ve never had food this much. If i were to choose between Ada’s Gojjo and death, it would not be a hard choice. Slay. Zach, signing off! (I’m sorry that this one wasn’t as good as my other reviews, I’m not in the flow state rn)

The food was very flavorful! I ordered the injera with misir wot and gomen. Additionally, I ordered the ethiopian empanadas. All the food items ordered was well-seasoned and delicioso!

There are not too many Ethiopian restaurants around. There was one in New Brunswick on George Street but that close down some time ago. When we found this one in Asbury we just had to go.

Food was very good. We got both Dominican and Ethiopian. I really enjoyed the Dominican while my husband enjoyed the Ethiopian. Large portions. Met the owner, a lovely woman. Service needs some work. Two servers, nice, but not experienced.

Our food was delicious. The cuisine is authentic with no extra frills. Probably the best food I’ve had in Jersey in a long time. There’s really good vegan/vegetarian options and a little bit of everything for everyone. We had Ethiopian and Dominican parts of the menu. The empanadas are amazing and the injera is to die for. Jose was our server and he was very attentive. We will definitely make this our spot. The ambiance was amazing and on point with subtle Ethiopian music playing through the speakers.

Have you ever tried Ethiopian food and Dominican food in the same restaurant? Ada’s Gojjo is a gem of a place in Asbury Park. The food is delicious and top notch and according to my boyfriend who is Dominican, authentic! The space is welcoming and open (essential for the covid-19 conscious, you’re not squished up against other diners and the staff are all masked up) with outside space on offer too if you want. The atmosphere is a warm family environment. They don’t serve alcohol but you are certainly welcome to Bring Your Own. At the end of our meal the wonderful Ada came out herself to greet us and see how we enjoyed our meal. This place is a must try, we’ll definitely be back for more! Thanks Ada
