I heard that this place has the best Jamaican food in San Diego. I finally was in the area this morning, so i thought to try it. It didn’t open until 11am, so I almost went home, but waited 30 minutes for them to open.

I flew in from Cleveland. Wanting to get a red snapper and Goat. The snapper had no flavor and the goat was nothing but bones. Everything else was rice. If I wanted just rice I’d go to China or Africa. $50 wasted. Never again.

Incredible! My gf and I came here and absolutely loved it! I got curry chicken and she got ackee and salt fish and both were incredible. Be prepared for bones in the chix curry tho. We left with 4 beef patties and a promise to come try more stuff later (:

We were in town a few weeks ago, and we were tong to find some good Jamaican food close to the downtown hotels. I’m glad we went out a little ways and found this place. The food was good, and we had great conversations while we waited for our food to be ready.

Prices both in the website and their billboard are higher. Lunch jerk chicken was actually $14.50 rather than $11 as posted. They have a sign at the door that say prices are different. I’m sure they are honest but I would feel better if I can read menu prices rather than having to ask for them. This seems unusual. Food was ok.

An awesome treat and worth checking out! Mr.Lee and his family are so friendly and their portions are very generous. Everything we tried was fresh and yummy!! The veggie and chicken empanadas/patties were just coming out of the oven, so we had to take some home .

The food is good but I’m going to have give them a 1 star for their service. The young man who took my order seemed like he was annoyed with me. I understand people have bad days but if you’re going to charge me $26 for an oxtail plate, I would expect I little better costumer service. I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this place.

This place is delicious. Authentic Jamaican food and well prepared. Friendly people. No need to try a different restaurant… this is legit.
