The food is absolutely delicious. The wait staff are very accommodating and polite. The atmosphere is appealing and clean and relaxing soft music plays in the background. The bar are is clean put away and organized. Floors and tables are clean and front entrance is welcoming. I’ve had no bad experience to name in this place. By far I’d give this restaurant at 10 out of 10 for all of the above… food, service, and atmosphere. I also had no trouble with parking.

I been a regular customer since 2014 . I always enjoyed this spot and the vibe. However as a dedicated customer I truly feel they are overpriced now . The price of this particular food and mandatory max gratuity is truly unreasonable to a point I feel us as customers are being taken advantage of . I traveled the world including Ethiopia and I can truly say they are truly overcharging.

The owner is too rude. The way he acts is not totally professional. He is also not willing to accept comments at all. Cigarettes and weeds smoking freely and with the hookah it’s totally awe full. But the waitress and waiter are so friendly

There are a lot of sparsely visited, mediocre Ethiopian restaurants in Silver Spring and this is one more. I don’t know how the restaurant economy works there. The sambussa was good but had too much crust. The vegetarian selection plate had the same five dishes as every other one I’ve seen everywhere else, which is fine by me but makes it harder to differentiate from every other Ethiopian restaurant. The injera bread was surprisingly cold. That didn’t really bother me though.

Ordered the beef tibs and got a big chunk of meat (mostly fat) on a bone smh had to toss the whole thing, complete waste of money..Not to mention, the owner was RUDE. I won’t be returning, I will continue going down the street to Champion Kitchen Instead

Nice casual place to visit for hookah. They have a seating area located in the side alley of the restaurant. We went on a Friday night and they had a dj outside playing great tunes. Would recommend getting the sambusas! Abs delicious.

The veggie platter with 5 sides is bomb, not to mention the sambusas are a VERY nice size. Great customer service and the pricing is reasonable. One of my fav spots in Downtown Silver Spring’s “Little Ethiopia”.

I’ve never had Ethiopian food. I just moved to the area from Philadelphia and received many recommendations to try Abyssinia. The waitresses were very hospitable. I didn’t enjoy the food though. My daughter and I had the doro wat and lamb tibs. The quantity of food was much less than I expected considering what we paid. We left what we didn’t eat (which was about half of what we ordered) because we knew we wouldn’t eat it later. It was an experience. I wouldn’t visit again, but the service was good.

Nice bands and great food. Owner comes and greets. Outside food and hookah area . Nice view. Some night it has a party room in the back to celebrate. Live bands come from all genres

I am not really familiar with Ethiopian food, so my rating is 4* for the food. Add to that outdoor seating, late hours (the place stays open we’ll north of midnight), reasonable alcohol prices. This adds another star.
