A colleague and I were looking for a local place for lunch. He had never tried island food and suggested A Taste of the Island. Great choice! We both had jerked chicken. The flavor was great, the portions are big and the staff was very friendly.

I have road by this restaurant multiple times and this time I decided to stop by. I tried the veggie plate (cabbage, plantains and rice & peas). The food was flavorful and the potion size was decent. The cashier was pleasant, she answered all my questions with a smile. I will eat here again. Worth a try.

I was in Atlanta earlier this week and decided to stop here along with some friends. We all enjoyed the food and truly enjoyed ourselves! The workers were very friendly by making sure we were okay. I got the salmon, cabbage and rice which was very delicious so I’ll be returning the next time I go to Atlanta. Great vibes and fun overall!*

Ordered using the app postmates and the restaurant was so helpful in helping me guide my driver to the location. I’m not sure who I spoke with on the phone but she was so nice! The food is absolutely amazing too! The meat was juicy and rice and peas and side of cabbage was delicious as well! And thank you for the beef patties because they are just as good as the rest of the food… definitely recommend this place!

This food truck was outside the liquor store and we decided hmm let’s give it a try! I so regret it. As pleasant as he was the food was not. OMG the curry chicken was dry and lacked any kind of flavor, the mac was so nasty with no flavor of any kind… I don’t even think the cheese on it had a taste! the cabbage was ok and the rice and peas were ok oh and the jerk chicken had no jerk lol I mean it was just nasty like I really want my $25 back it was that bad ! I do not recommend at all!
