Absolutely amazing food. Pizza was delicious. Garlic knots were done right. Fresh garlic lots of Parmesan… delicious tomato sauce for dipping. The meatballs were something special also. Tender and full of flavor. That dollop of ricotta . The staff was so down to earth and just made you feel welcomed. They had a bin collecting school supplies for kids in the area. The owner is a super cool dude and you can tell he’s doing this because this is what he loves. Pizza is his thing… so give it a try… like Now. Prices were beyond reasonable. Whole amazing pizza, knots and balls for like 40 bucks.

Quite honestly, this is some of the best New York style pizza I’ve ever had! The crust is absolute perfection!!! The ladies at the counter were a little short with us when we asked for extra cheese. When we asked if they could add fresh mozzarella slices, we were told that they don’t do that. Despite that, the cheese that was on it was wonderfully oily, the sauce was incredibly delicious as well! The manger came out to ask how everything was, which was very nice!!! The pizza here is so good! We will definitely be back!! Highly recommended!

This isn’t NY “style” pie – this IS NY pie, plain and simple. Sean is just flat out crushing it, and I’m happy for him, as I’ve watched his journey and the hard work has paid off. BTW – we don’t know each other whatsoever, so don’t even try. Dude is passionate about what he does, and more of us should be this way. And here’s all you need to know – I HATE ricotta cheese, and he convinced me to give his a shot. It was phenomenal.

My family just got back from NYC and we all agreed the pizza here was better than anything we had in the city. We all had margherita slices so I can only speak to that, but it was perfect. The flavor of the sauce is truly unique, you can definitely taste the top notch ingredients. The crust had a nice crispness and actually had flavor, whereas most crusts taste like cardboard.

I went to order an extra cheese pie but apparently you do not do extra cheese because that’s what I was told which is crazy to me but whatever. Then I wanted a caprese salad and apparently are all out of it. The taste when I got it was just awful, couldn’t even eat a whole piece, the sauce was worse than I could’ve imagined. It was completely burnt on the crust and the whole pizza itself. Boyfriend ate most, I ordered dominos.

This is one of the pizza places that is worth driving out of the way for. Every pie I’ve had from here has been amazing. Next to John’s of Bleecker this is probably my favorite pizza place. Highly recommend.

Everyone at A Slice of New York is amazing! The food was perfect as always and exactly what I want out of a New York pizza! A lot of my family is from New York and I have had pizza in that city a few times and this takes me right back! Also, it’s even better! Can’t wait to try the vodka pie!!! Highly recommend this place to anyone.
