Great little BBQ spot on the main strip in Kure Beach. The fried chicken was the best I’ve ever had ! The pulled pork BBQ was slightly disappointing and the seating was a little cramped. Overall not a bad experience. All the food is served on styrofoam plates and in plastic baskets but that is to be expected for a small mom and pop joint like this. The service was great and I think our server may have actually been the owner. He was very friendly and helpful. The macaroni salad was awesome some of the other sides were nothing special. But if you go here try the fried chicken you will not regret it literally the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. We will definitely come back here next time we visit Kure Beach just for the chicken alone.

Spending a couple days at Carolina Beach and hit this spot. Slightly unassuming, but don’t let that fool ya! I got a fried chicken and pulled pork plate with fried okra and mashed potatoes, with gravy! Everything was so good, the chicken crisp and juicy and almost forgot, hush puppies which were outstanding. The service was quick and the location easy to get to, check it out

Hole in the wall place that served good food, big variety, big portions. Thoroughly enjoyed the southern fried veggies…okra and squash. Homemade potato salad, little hush puppies, and sweet tea also. Pulled pork and fried chicken was great. None of the fried food options I had were greasy. Highly recommend.

Ordered take out. They didn’t pack any utensils or bbq sauce or ketchup or butter for the hushpuppies. Like I think it’s a given if you order food to go with BBQ sandwiches and platters we would like BBQ sauce included. We went back and asked for sauce and she only gave us the vinegar blend. Just wasn’t impressed. Definitely check your takeout bags to make sure all that you need is inside!

We stop here about every single trip to CB why because the owners give a local hello to you as they host. Try the collard greens are delicious, cheeseburgers and fries a big Yes and BBQ family pkg is a must with chicken and many other foods. They are walking distance to our beach house rentals.

I haven’t had Cucumber and Onion Salad in years (I’m from Atlanta and used to eat the salad often). The taste of the salad was nostalgic; as it took me back to home. Good southern cooking can be found at Carolina Beach. Check it out, I recommend it.
