Drove from Canada to try this place out, and they did not disappoint! The brisket and the beef ribs were on point. The fact that they have been recognized by Texas Monthly is huge! Also love the fact that they use Creekstone Farms beef – its used by all the top Texas and Kansas city joints as well.

I recently tried Abs for the first time, and wow, I was blown away! The place was so clean and had a really cool vibe. I ordered their Creekstone burger, and man, it was hands down one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! The flavors were on point, and it was super juicy and tasted incredibly fresh. I can’t wait to go back again and again. Big shoutout to Ab for taking care of us and serving up such amazing food! You guys rock!

Hands down the BEST bbq in Michigan! We always order the platter for two and without fail have leftovers to take home. Their brisket is out of this world! And the ribs are cooked with basting to true perfection! Sometimes they have special dishes like short ribs which is nice. I cannot count how many times I have recommended this place to my friends and family! Absolutely legendary bbq! But get in early because they run out fast!

Had my family come from New York just to try this place. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint! Brisket was on point. Tender meat. The short ribs were enormous and a ton of meat. Juicy and fall off the bone. Smoked wings were great. We got half a chicken that we couldn’t eat because we didnt have room in our stomach. Service was excellent. It’s a must try!

Amazing! The moment you step into the restaurant, the aromas of the smoked meat are mouth watering, then seeing the fresh meat selection displayed just let you know the meat is wholesome and cooked onsite. The flavor is cooked into every bite of meat, the portions are shareable, and the customer service is outstanding. They have a forever customer. Don’t forget to get your toothpick on the way out!

Hands down my favorite place for burgers and red meat generally. I normally would never eat beef burgers anywhere unless it’s homemade.. but let me tell you, I ate here without a second thought. The wagyu Burger and the chopped brisket sandwich were perfect!! Also, the Mac & Cheese was amazing. I’d definitely come back again. I’ll bring my family to try it too. Definitely worth every penny! – it’s halal too

Everything about this small mom and pop BBQ joint was exactly what I needed when I needed it. Ordering a cut of brisket from the point and getting a stern nod of approval from the titular AB himself inspired confidence in me before the stainless steel platter of magic even landed on our table. I would recommend the platter for two with chicken, ribs, and brisket. The meat was perfectly cooked and the bark on the brisket was caramelized and flavorful. Top to bottom, the sauces, the sides, and especially the meat are some of the best I’ve EVER had (let alone in Detroit). Absolute must have if you’re in the area and have a hankerin’ for Texas-style BBQ. I was in heaven. Thanks, AB!
