We stopped here on a drive through town and I’m glad we did. The meatloaf has a rich, smokey flavor and the ribs were flavorful, even without the BBQ sauce. The service was quick and personable. We had our three young children with us and they were kept busy with coloring sheets. If we are in town again, we will definitely return. I am always happy to support a non-chain, family owned restaurant.

Had great service and very good dinner. We ordered the special (1/4 chicken & 1/2lb rib tips for $13.95) which included corn bread, mashed potatoes, gravy, and coleslaw. The corn bread is some of the best I have ever tasted. The rib tips were excellent! The only disappointment was the coleslaw. It was lacking in taste. It did not matter as there was so much food I did not have room for the coleslaw anyway. I recommend this place for value and ambiance.

Went last night for my birthday. Was looking forward to going for days. We were early eaters and noticed the special board as we came in saying rib tips $7.95. Well both my husband and I ordered the tips. It was like eating rubber doused in bbq sauce. The sauce was good, but I still gag just thinking of the rib tips. They were tough, chewy, and old tasting. The only edible part of the meal was my baked potato. We ordered a slice of “famous” carrot cake for $5.50 to go and we left with most of the meal still in the basket. Paid $50.00 (we had a couple of drinks and soup) and left. Very disappointed. But worst yet, when we got home I looked at the bill (yes, I should have checked before we left) and saw we paid $12.95 for the rib tips! Over priced at $7.95 but robbery at $12.95. Posted a comment on Lonestar’s website and it was deleted. What does that tell you. Will never go again. Too expensive to try again.

Not sure what the others that left a review looked at but the service was awesome. The ribs where not covered in sauce to hide the smoked flavor. My wife had the pastrami sandwich and ut was incredible. The Cowboy balls where different but delicious.

Went there tonight, had a rude server, who said and I quote: “Let me get the hot food out before I worry about refills” this is after already bringing out drinks for others who didn’t even ask for it. She also had to ask multiple times (to the same people) about who needed boxes, refills, etc. She didn’t introduce herself, didn’t come by to check on us at all between taking drink orders, food orders, and bringing food out. She asked once about how we liked the food and left before anyone could say anything. She brought the checks straight out, no question of desserts, or even appetizers when we first came in and stayed for an hour without receiving our food even though it was slow. The food was decent, but the service made me and my friends decide we won’t be coming back.

The food is amazing…all our family and friends have enjoyed this recommendation. Smoked meatloaf is outta this world! Staff provide a welcoming warm environment. Owners are always there, they are so inviting and genuinely glad u r there.Service may be a bit slow at times but usually due to busn level. Specials and portions generous. Some prices a little high but it’s worth it

what a joke this place is. ‘First off they dont know how to barbecue ribs. they were raw and had no sauce on them. They served a watered down version of a sauce you could squirt on the meat. I would be surprized if the place is there a year from now.

The best food you can find around in this town! However, the business recently went to cater only except on a few select weekdays for a few hours. Have tried to make it to the open doors during these times but have been welcome with nothing but a locked door.
