Wow, fabulous on every level. Service Food quality and overall ambiance were fabulous. The tapas/Pinxos were fresh and tasty. The NY strip and the reduction was easily the best I’ve ever had. And the wine list was well curated. This will be a new “goto” spot for me

TLDR:The food and service were fantastic (except for dessert). We will be going back to try more items on the menu.

Cool new spot with some hits. We liked the mushrooms and the eggplant. The shrimp and the flan were ok. Drink menu was excellent across wine, cocktails, and beer – including some grapes I wasn’t familiar with.

Such a wonderful new place! Beautiful small plates (the shrimp were too delicious to stop to photograph) and a delightful selection of Spanish wines. We tried an assortment of tapas and glasses of mostly-unfamiliar wine varietals, and everything was excellent.

would have been just another casual fancy place except for the presence of the prefer and the cheif barman. place is low-key in a great neighborhood way, wins the expectation battle. not every dish is a gut but at least half are which i respect, menu changes a lot. Spendy of course

Nice service, ok ambiance. The food was mostly nice but the tortilla española needs some potato bits! Otherwise it’s just a rubbery hockey puck of egg.

Canteen is a delightful new bar effectively in the lobby of the Springline apartments. The bartenders are friendly and the specialty drinks we tried were amazing. The eggplant, croquettes, and charcuterie plates were quite good. It is a little pricey, but worth it for a casual evening with friends.

Friendly, accommodating staff – found space at bar for us – very interesting menu, both food and beverage. Bartender Mimi, despite a rush, kept tabs on us, answering questions and getting our orders in promptly. Manager (?) Robert, equally friendly, corrected a drink order at no cost. Can’t say enough about set-up; normally, something looks good, but fear to order in case of too much food. With Tapas, each order is a few bites for two, so order away! We’ll come back soon, with friends – a new, warm living room for Palo Alto/Menlo Park.
