Review from 2021: My mother and I went there and it was a wonderful experience. As others have mentioned, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We had the complimentary pimento cheese and crackers, which was probably the best pimento cheese I’ve had. I had sangria and it was the perfect blend of sweet and fruity. My mother ordered the pimento cheese sandwich with bacon and absolutely loved it, saying how perfect the bread was. Her side of lobster bisque was also a high point. For myself, I ordered a bowl of the lobster bisque and one of the specials of the day. It was a tender beef brisket with cornbread, collard greens, a fried egg, and a tasty honey drizzle. Lastly we had the Nutella cake, which was fantastic. Jeri stopped by our table and she was very sweet and delighted to hear we were first time visitors to her fine establishment. We highly recommend this gem in Tallahassee and look forward to our next visit.

The food was really good . This was our first time eating here. We were in town for homecoming. The shrimp and grits were amazing. My friend got the French toast and loved it . We’ll definitely be coming back!

Take a number?? Jeri’s had a great formula: consistently good quality food combined with exceptional sit-down service. Now their new version of “service” is to make customers stand in line to place an order, pay AND tip in advance, then take a number and try to find a table. Like a cheap fast-food place. They replaced silverware with plastic cutlery in a package with a little napkin, salt and pepper packages. So – just using a napkin means everything else gets tossed away unused. Also switched to plastic cups for their drinks. What a waste. And no more complementary pimento cheese and crackers! Not sure why they changed to make things worse for their customers and the environment… we have been regulars there for years and enjoyed the full service from their friendly staff with good food, real knives, forks and glasses. Not particularly keen on paying $20+ for a lunch served like I’m at the What-a-burger down the road.

really tasty !! i got the tab, their pressed turkey and brie sandwich, and my friend got the dude, their pressed steak and pesto sandwich. of the two, i preferred the tab, the turkey apple butter and brie combo was really delicious, but the dude was great too! for sides, we got the caprese salad and their hoppin john salad (my favorite of the two !! really fresh and light, went well w the sandwich being heavier). we went for lunch on sunday without calling ahead or anything and only had to wait like 15-20 minutes, and with midtown reader right above we had plenty of books to peruse to pass the time. also i liked the painting of a chihuahua they had on the wall, A+ decor. our server (brandon i think) was really nice and helpful, great service ! def will come back

This was my first time at Jeri’s, I treated myself for my birthday today. They have complimentary crackers and cheese and the Shrimp and Grits were so DELICIOUS! I chose the Pineapple Strawberry mimosa to drink which was also really good. My server’s name was Taylor and she was awesome and so sweet, and had me set. I was comfortable and the vibe and music is chill and friendly and I will definitely be coming back

We have always lived Jeri’s! First time back since their “redo”. Not impressed. Food is still great. However service was severely lacking. Received our food (sandwiches) 35 minutes after ordering and, other than initially bringing our food and drinks out, never saw a server. No refills on drinks, no check in to see if we needed anything etc. Only retrieved the number from our table and dishes when they were empty. Sad thing is I left a good tip when I ordered and paid for our food at the counter (their “new” thing). Good way to have tips without good service. Will not be back for a while. Too many other options where service is great.
