Nice place next to the river with kayaks decorating the restaurant. The staff is friendly and attentive. Food portions were huge and delicious. Our waitress “Jaden” was very pleasant and checked on us often even though she was the only waitress on that day. We had chicken tenders, house salad and tried a craft beer. They have a nice selection but no hard alcohol drinks. Our lunch cost $39 tab $10 tip. If the service was good please give at least 20%

What wonderful place! Chuck and his team went above and beyond to make my visit incredible. I had the meatball sub, definitely recommended – add whatever pizza topping you like! With a full drink menu, there is something for everyone. And well, you just can’t beat sitting on the water. The scenery, the staff, and the great food made today an unforgettable experience.

Fuquay Fun Finds
We had an early lunch after a hike in nearby Raven Rock last summer and it was great. It wasn’t too busy so our drinks and food came out quickly. Can’t beat a cold beverage by the water and a hot fresh pizza!

Great scenery on a great weather looking over river and very calm. Service on other is not attentive but nice service. I called our host and seemed not to hear us. Customer next to us were serviced first while we came first to order and received food with same waitress we had and fished food while we still waited with same waitress. We had 2 beers, side salad,fried banana peppers, and the Clifford’s pizza. Overall nice service but be prepared to wait. Please take a table with umbrella if outside just in case.

Absolutely love this place! You can’t beat the atmosphere. A big patio overlooking the Cape Fear River. Inside feels really welcoming with murals painted on the walls by a local artist. They had live music the night I was there. The food is fresh, delicious, reasonably priced and great portions. They have a lot of options from apps, salads, sandwiches and pizza. This is a great spot to visit after a day on the river with a kayaking outfitter next door or a great local spot for evening out or weekend brunch!

Madison (9-year old granddaughter) approved. She loved the meatball sub and home chips but ate the meatballs out of the sandwich so will probably order without bread next time. I had sweet potato fries served with ketchup on the side. This was my only complaint. I are them plain which was fine but I hope they over a better dipping sauce option in the future.

Got a chance to try out The Lost Paddle in Lillington NC. Nice location, clean and inviting dining areas both inside, sunporch, and outdoor patio and picnic areas. Service was fast and friendly and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Great place for a quick bite or a nice social outing.

Yesterday was very disappointing at The Lost Paddle. We didn’t even get to eat lunch there. We were seated by a young lady who handed us the menus when she walked away my friend asked the lady behind the bar a question and that’s when things went south. The lady behind the bar was so rude to us even after she walked away and came to our table she still had the most disgusting attitude. I consider myself a foodie and love to go out and explore new places. My first time there was a fun and pleasant experience we even requested music and stayed until the end. Sadly, after this visit my friends and I will not be returning. I am all about supporting local restaurants and hope you succeed but shall this type of behavior continue from your staff I don’t see a future.
