This place has gone seriously downhill since it first opened. Either inflation is hitting them hard or they are just trying to price gouge their customers. Their strips used to be a decent size…smaller than the average chicken finger but still decent enough. Now they’re significantly smaller with some barely big enough to be considered nuggets. Almost half of our 20 pieces were the size of the ones pictured. The rest were bigger, but still much smaller than they used to be. Note that the photos on the website still look like the way they used to be so they aren’t an accurate representation of what you will get from this place. You’re essentially getting the equivalent of a 20 piece nuggets for almost $30. To their credit, they did offer us additional wings when we told them we weren’t satisfied with the strips so I gave an extra star for that, but that doesn’t mean they won’t serve the same pathetic “strips” to the next customer. So buyer beware at this location. I’m not sure if they’re all doing this but the Nutley location is most definitely not what it used to be. I would avoid it and go elsewhere unless you want to be scammed.

From someone who used to frequent the original location for the lunch special and was happy to see you in my NJ neighborhood, I am not happy to say things have changed for the worse. I showed up for my order and was told it would be about 15-20 minutes more. I sat and watched many people come and go over the additional 45 minutes I sat in the store. When I asked how things were doing I was told they are finishing up one last part of the order. Sadly that was easy to identify as I got home to hot drums and the rest of my $85 order just cold.

Nothing I can say that the other 2-3 star reviews haven’t said. It was twice as long as they said and when they finally brought out the food, it was lukewarm. Bonchon food is tasty and I’ve had it over a year ago at this same location that was good. I wonder if there’s been a change of ownership or food provider that has caused the issue.

if you’re doing Uber eats or door dash don’t come here. Orders take triple the time than when they say are ready, happen multiple times for me already. Everyone in the establishment are people waiting for their order. Waste time on your delivery and for the people waiting on their order.

Lady at the desk is always pleasant. Environment is clean, but this location is inconsistent. Too often I get wings that’s aren’t double fried and are soggy as opposed to crispy. I was introducing my Manager to them for the first time, raving about how amazing they are, only to discover it was soggy. What a bummer man! He thinks I over exaggerated because of the poor preparing.

Saw on Grubhub so I said let’s give it a try. Very surprising food was great. Hot and fresh. I’m very picky when it comes down to chicken. Even tho was boneless chicken it was not greasy at all. Cooked just right. Hoping to visit in person soon. See ya soon…….

I placed order and got text saying they got my order, 6:20pm and I set the order for 7:15pm pickup. I got there and like always order not ready, said please wait 10 mins or so. Waited and got my order by 7:35.

Not sure what happened to this particular location but there has been a considerable overall decline. First thing I have to mention is the music that was blasting when I came in. The young lady behind the counter was preoccupied with her playlist on her tablet and seemed distracted and disinterested. The music was inappropriate for a dining setting at any volume but intolerable at the actual volume. I originally planned to dine in but asked for my order to go after sitting and waiting for 15 minutes. The food itself was also subpar. I ordered Bulgogi fried rice. The rice was very good but the beef Bulgogi was extremely sparse. For the price, I would definitely expect more. I am not seeking a refund or meeting with anyone, I just do not plan to return. There are plenty other options in the area. The businesses surrounding this establishment have all shut down and I see the same fate for this one if they don’t improve.

This is a complaint. I walked 7 blocks to eat at bonchon. Love the food but I get there at 7:30 just to find out that the manager would not serve me She said that 7:30 was too late when bonchon closes at 8pm. Isn’t that false advertising. You lost a good customer. And I will spread word around on your false hours.
