Mario’s Pizzeria & Ristorante Juan Tabo and Menaul Menu – Albuquerque, NM

Type : Italian restaurant

Location : Albuquerque, NM

Mama’s award winning family recipes from the old country have made us a local Albuquerque favorite for almost 50 years. All our pizza, pasta, meatballs, sauces and soups are made from scratch daily. Reviews rave about our traditional pasta dishes like our lasagna, chicken parmigiana, pasta carbonara and more. Don’t forget about our New York style pizzas and calzones. Our 26 giant party pizza is a fan favorite with slices a foot long! Dining at Mario’s would not be complete without some homemade gelato or one of our wonderful giant slices of chocolate cake or carrot cake. We are a family owned and operated business that cares about our community and your dining experience and we are always happy to meet new friends. Grazie!

This is more than a restaurant to me and my family, it is like a home away from home. We go there, and the staff is so kind as if you have known them all your life, the atmosphere make you feel like you are on a trip to Italy, with the nice classic walls and signs, not to mention this was a family business. Once I was sent in to pick up my order, and my lord were the staff so welcoming. They gave me a special spot by the manager and we waited for pizza. But the best thing, The cuisine. The fresh pizza feels like you are eating in the heart of Italy, the garlic bread reminds you of simpler times. Everything is perfect about the joint.

Perfect pizza every time. The pasta dishes are also excellent (Southwest Chicken is a personal favorite). Their house made gelato is not to be missed. Servers are always fast and friendly. We have been eating at their various locations since the mid 1990’s and have never had a bad meal.

Mario’s has become outr fave place to eat at! Especially going in to eat, the atmosphere is nice so is the customer service. Even on days when they’re busy they know how to handle it like bosses! Very friendly staff and amazing food. Mario’s has the best pizza!

Mario’s, should in all fairness, be compared to Olive Garden. Each serve the same quality Italian-American fast foody cuisine. The major difference is, you can get out the door at Mario’s a bit cheaper. That being said, Mario’s doesn’t offer the all you can eat bread sticks and salad you will get from Olive Garden. My side salad was a very basic iceberg lettuce salad with a couple of cucumber slices and cherry tomatoes thrown on for color.

What can I say, they’re always great! Being a 3rd generation Italian-American I love all the choices. It’s hard to find good Italian food in Albuquerque, but Mario’s doesn’t disappoint. The green chile potato soup is a must try so cross your fingers that it’s the soup of the day. The baked Tortellini is another favorite of mine. From soup, to salad, to pasta, to pizza, it’s all delicious!

Great thin pizza. We like to get medium because the large is too big for 2 people. Trust me.

Service and food used to be great but now servers walk right past several times and served others who came after us. One female server cleaned the table next to us and wouldn’t make eye contact. She made a point to avoid us. It was more than an hour before closing, maybe they hoped we’d go away!? This was the second time service was poor, the last time we had to ask for more soda and water. After the food was delivered they all disappeared into the back and we had to look for forks and napkins ourselves. I know it’s hard to find good employees that’s why we came back again but this time we probably won’t be back. Oh and the food was subpar. The pizza was soggy, the chicken parm didn’t have much chicken and the salad was wilted but the dressing was great.

I love their spaghetti, never fails. This time I ordered from Grubhub. They forgot the added chicken to the carbonara so I called and they fixed it right away! I made my way to the restaurant for the chicken and added cannoli, I don’t know his name but the gentleman who helped both on the phone call and drive thru was very helpful! They even got me the veggies missed from the low carb plate I ordered (I didn’t even realize they were missing at the time). I’ve loved this place since I was little and will continue to be a customer <3

I ordered two pizzas for delivery, which set me back $60. The food never arrived. No one answered the phone at the restaurant. I had to dispute the charges through my credit card company. I’m not sure what went wrong, but clearly somebody didn’t do their job.

First time and definitely not the last. Really great selection of foods. We tried the Margherita 18” pizza, a meatball parmigiana sub and cannoli. Everything was great and we are looking forward to trying some of the other pizzas, lasagna, sandwiches and more during future visits. This is our new favorite place in ABQ.
