Emporium 109 is a unique place in the small town of Ladoga, which is located about 10 miles south of Crawfordsville. Currently, Emporium 109 is part restaurant part ice cream parlor/unique furniture and other household furnishings. The restaurant side has pride in unusual cocktails in a well stocked bar and a nice well rounded menu. The menu is best described as American with some Mexican leaning. We were at Emporium 109 in the middle of a weekday afternoon and found a few customers eating at the tables and we were greeted by our server who was knowledgeable and took time with us. We found that the building was formerly a butcher shop/grocery store that they had retained much of the store including the ceiling in their new remodeling and decorating. We ordered off the menu with getting one of the specials of the day, a taco salad and a sweet and spicy burger. The taco salad the right size with fresh chips, crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, cheese, meat sauce, mashed black beans and a mild sauce on top. It was the best that we have had in a long time. The sweet and spicy burger was excellent made will a course ground mixture of brisket, rib and chuck beef grilled to my liking rare, the sweet came from a raspberry and cream cheese spread on top of the burger, the spice came from jalapeno peppers on a brioche bun. The burger was large and thick that filled the bun perfectly and had good flavor. The burger was served with homemade crispy chips that had a unique seasoning on them. They have a dinner menu that looks interesting and flavorful. They have specials for the lunch time as well as evening meals. They have entertainment on weekends and are usually at standing room capacity. It was a great experience, and we will be back for this gem in rural Indiana.

Had dinner here with friends. Each of us had a different order and each was very good. Price was very reasonable and quantity was more than enough. Service was also excellent. Will return again the next time we are in the area.

This place was great. Between our party, we got burgers, loaded fries, a salad, and soup, and it was all great. Service was friendly and just the right speed. We will be going back for some outrageous shakes later!

This is my favorite place to eat in MoCo. They have a lot of different specialty items on the menu. Every where else has the same boring items, not this place! I highly recommend the border burger and the Addy melt. Both are mouth watering. And the decor and atmosphere is amazing! Kudos to the stylist and chief.

A hidden gem in the countryside of Indiana. Not your typical small town bar. The food? Some of the best, if not the best I’ve had for a restaurant/ bar its size. They’re new and still trying to figure out the flow on busy evenings—but the staff is friendly and helpful if you’re willing to wait a few extra minutes. My recommendation? The chicken & waffles with regular syrup or the Addy melt.

Stopped in to give this place a try on a Wednesday for lunch. Service was good. Food was good. Decorations/ambiance were good. They even have some shirts and mugs with hilarious phrases on them for sale in a small corner window. We’re planning to go back and try more food on the menu. It was clean and the music wasn’t as loud as many places I’ve been to, which allowed me to carry on a conversation with my bride…it’s the little things.

The reviews are true. Nice variety on the menu, everything was good, quesadillas, pork, tots, drinks all good. Absolutely great for a small town. We came to see the band and also enjoyed that.

All I had was the loaded fries and they were really good. Waitress was ok, wasn’t good about refills on our drinks and it was early so the place wasn’t busy at all. Still nice, clean place to eat in a small town.

My son and I stopped in for a late lunch. The flavored lemonades were great. Cuban sandwich was perfect, too!
