From the moment we walked into Bar Yoshi, we knew we were in for a treat. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Our martinis were expertly crafted and absolutely delicious. The sushi was some of the best we’ve ever had – each piece was prepared to perfection. We were even lucky enough to meet with chef Jesse, whose charisma and passion for his craft were evident in every dish we received. Thank you, Bar Yoshi, for an unforgettable dining experience!

I’ve been here twice and definitely enjoyed the sushi. The edemame was great as well, just a little salty.

I was at Bar Yoshi for my first time today and I have to say I had a great time. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had any and everything I needed. Carlos is a very entertaining and friendly bartender. His drinks met and surpassed every expectation I had. Sandy the manager came up to me multiple times to see how I was doing and if I was enjoying my stay. I would highly recommend Bar Yoshi to anyone look for a good environment and friendly staff. Thank you

Menu contains the staples you’d expect and the food was all light and nicely presented. Staff were attentive. Maybe a little bit too much as the instant I’d finish a plate it was whisked away. The food is fine but very expensive compared to the same quality and dishes in other spots. I’ve had the exact same, but larger poke bowls for £10 in London. It was also insanely loud, yelling at each other across the table to be heard. For Nantucket not the worst priced but I don’t feel it had an atmosphere to match the price point. The udon is good if you want a very light dish but as an extensive Japanese food eater, for me it was bland. Got a mocktail that tasted like sparkling water with only a splash of orange. Was unpalatable and then the price for it…

This is such a lovely spot for sushi! We ate here yesterday and enjoyed the outdoor seating with the beautiful weather. Our server Michael was wonderful and took good care of us. The sushi was VERY good……probably the best I’ve had in a while. My husband had the special artichoke appetizer and thought it was delicious. We will be back to Bar Yoshi!

Where do I begin. My brother and I used to frequent this place when it was Sushi by Yoshi. Food was always good, but the service sucked and staff was typically rude. I’ve come to Bar Yoshi a few times now, and the food has actually gotten worse. For $3 for each piece of sushi(around $20-30 per roll)it’s definitely not worth the price. The restaurant also throws on an additional gratuity fee, separate of the tip, without disclosing it to customers, in lieu of paying their employees. They simply slap on a fee at the end of each check, in the hopes their customers won’t notice. It’s not the cost of the fee that bothers me, but the fact that I am being charged for something that was not initially disclosed- that’s simply unethical.

Food is top notch. Probably the best sushi in Nantucket. Bar set up is perfect with a great top notch bartender. Spring rolls are a must. The outside seating is perfect on Nantucket summer nights!

This is one of the best restaurants in Nantucket! Best sushi on the island by far! It is also amazing because Micayla McMahon and Mack Velle work here!

Bartender (Justin) made an antisemitic comment at the bar which I overheard from my table. When I confronted him about it — politely, calmly — he gave me an excuse and a half-hearted apology. He then loudly talked about me (rudely) to all of the guests at the bar loudly enough that anyone in the dining room could hear him. It was the most upsetting experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I was offended and shocked, especially as I also work in the f&b industry and cannot imagine ever seeing one of my coworkers say something so offensive and then handle it so poorly.
