went for dinner took 10 min for anyone to acknowledge us. then our server was very rude. would not give refills or checkup on us once we got our food. i finally got done waiting so i went up to the counter and waited another 5 min until he came back to help me and i asked for the bill and a refill to go and he tried to charge me and when i said something he said “you have to pay for a to go drink” as if he couldn’t of gave me a refill the whole time we ate dinner.

Edited to add: Gold Star reached out below and asked me to give feedback via their website, but they just offer you one free cheese coney in exchange for your feedback. I spent $30 on my meal and they want to give me a free cheese coney (of which I don’t even eat). It’s like a slap in the face after what happened that they want to give me something free that I didn’t order and that I don’t eat (even though I spent $30 and couldn’t eat the food I was given).

I’m new to Ohio but only knew about Skyline Chili for 15 years. Only until moving from Chicago to Lebanon, OH did I discover Gold Star Chili. Wow, I love it! I might be addicted to the 5-way chili, eating it once to twice a week for the past two months. It’s appetizing, it’s affordable, and it’s amazing! To top it off, the owner and employees at this location are incredibly friendly and always greet me with warm smiles. All of my experiences here have been 5-star!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT THIS LOCATION. My family and I are frequent eaters at this location , today I asked the waiter for a SMALL 3 way and recieved a large due to her negligence! I told her I want charged for a small 3 way instead of a large because it was HER mistake. Instead her manager literally told her to take my spaghetti AFTER I had already started eating it. The “manager” never once came to talk to us to apologize or anything. COMPLETELY DISRESPECTFUL!!! Never have I ever had this bad of an experience at gold star until today !

Place is a joke. As we was walking in a family walked out and said good luck getting service. They waited 20 minutes and no one came to the table. Lot of very young kids working here. Dont even look of age to work. Go to the one in maineville ohio service is way better at that location. Very slow here. Not even busy.

My sister, her grandson and I are there yesterday evening (June 24, 2022) around 5:30. This place was great two months ago, we we’ve been going there each Friday evening for coffee and food. Each week the service declined, and last night was the last straw for us. “We will not return.” My double burger was just slightly okay, my fries were so hard and grease soaked that I asked to have remade. My sister ordered a 3-way and it was cold, her grandson had chicken tenders and fries and the child couldn’t eat the fries because the fries were so hard his little teeth of a five year old couldn’t bit it. Our waitress was polite and quickly replaced the fries that she herself made. The other staff just sit around and talked between themselves. Only two other tables had customers. THIS PLACE NEEDS A GOOD WELL TRAINED MANAGER, WHO KNOWS HOW TO TRAIN THE STAFF!!! The staff act like they have never even been inside a business before and they are clueless. This place is a DISGRACE to the entire Lebanon community.

Save your money and go somewhere else. I was the only person in there. Service was awful. Messed up my sandwich. Took forever, and when I asked for a remake after 20 min of waiting I got up and left. It was sitting there made the entire time. The waitress was just too busy doing absolutely nothing to care. I will NEVER go back. The managers excuse is there short staffed… yet no one else was there…
