Customer service was decent from time my order was taken over the phone, young lady was sweet when she came out to get my order info and payment at pickup. Menu online is showing incorrect prices, my $10.99 plate was $11.99 on the receipt, then I was charged $1.00 extra for spinach, the plate was hot but definitely not worth $12.99. I also ordered a side of guacamole and was charged $2.99 for a 2oz cup, I could’ve bought a whole avocado for that price. Order was received with a huge bag of chips and salsa that were cold and then I ordered a lemonade priced at $3. I didn’t receive my lemonade and when I realized it I was already on the highway back to Dallas. I called them and asked them to void to which the young lady advised the manager said they could not. Ms.Cami came on the line and was very nice however advised she couldn’t just void the $3 but that I could come anytime to get a free drink after I told her I don’t reside here. Asked her if she could void the card and I could give my card info over the phone to have it manually put in to which she said she couldn’t, I asked her if I went back I could just get my $3 in cash and she’s advised she would need my card info unfortunately. It wasn’t until I mentioned not to worry about it and that I would just leave a negative review that the tuned changed and I was offered to come pick up $3 cash via a text. My review is based not on customer service as it is not the managers fault or the young lady who forgot the drink but because food is overpriced and definitely not worth it especially when they cannot void a simple $3 drink from the ticket. 10/10 would not recommend, I’m sure there is better quality food and affordable priced food elsewhere.

I got the burrito supreme, They could have done a better job at ingredient distribution. All the tomatoes and sour cream were in the center. The meat was a little bland in my opinion. But not too bad.

To start off, the food was terrible. Everything tasted like it either came out of a can or was frozen. Only one out of my three party members could finish their food. The sour cream sauce is clearly powder mixed with water. Server was okay, aside from her dumping water from her tray right next to my table and the fact that we had to physically get up and find her to pay. Overall, a really bad experience. Will not be coming back, especially because of the price.

When I first visited Jefe’s, I didn’t think it would last a year. But their cheap margaritas gave them time to find good cooks. They are better than they used to be. It’s still not in my top recommendation for Mexican, but they are getting there.

It took about 20 mins to get waited on, the waitress was nice, however. Atmosphere is very lively and colorful which I loved. The margaritas were good, chips and salsa were good, queso was ok but a little too Velveeta-ish tasting and textured for my taste. I ordered a chicken chimichanga and while I very much enjoyed the rice and bean sides(nicely flavored)–the chimichanga was not that great. I like a good, golden crispy chimmy and it was a little on the soggy side. The filling was basically just the same rice and beans that were on the side so nothing new there. Also, the presentation was a little boring, not any color from any tomatoes, lettuce etc.

I ordered the appetizer sampler. It was very good. The quesadillas and flautas were the best in my opinion. I didn’t have a margarita this time but know they are good here. The fried cheesecake chimichanga dessert was delicious. Not as sweet as I thought it would be, which was nice. Wasn’t wanting a sugar overload. Service was fantastic and atmosphere very nice.

As a local, Jefe’s is my favorite Mexican food in Wichita Falls. Their fresh made salsa verde is amazing. Some days it is spicier than others, but always has a great flavor. Beef enchiladas with salsa verde, rice and beans. Perfection.
